IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

I have made the decision to close Thirteen tattoo studio at the end of April this year. This decision has not been made lightly and I have been considering my options for quite a while now. Some of you may already be aware of this but most of you won’t be. I wanted to wait until everything was in place before I made the announcement. This is a positive change I want to make for myself!
We have been open 8 years this year and I have been working here since day one. I took ownership of the business 4 years ago and have been running it ever since. I’ve had some of the best times in the shop and I appreciate every single person who chose me to do their tattoos for them no matter how big or small the job. I appreciate all of the other artists time and effort they’ve put in while working here over the years.
There are multiple reasons for the closure. We’ve had several issues with the building itself (it’s very old and tired). Running the business day to day has become a bit of a slog, it’s basically just me that does everything while also tattooing full time. There are only two of us working here currently, myself and Rob. The shop is a very large space to manage for one person. The running costs have increased significantly in the aftermath of the pandemic and will only ever go up. I don’t want to keep increasing my prices either.
The main thing really is I feel like I need to make a change for myself. For my mental health, and for my creativity to blossom a little more and to be around more like minded people. Some of you may not understand, but I need to do what’s best for me and my family.
HOWEVER! Do not worry, I will still be tattooing in Harrogate, I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Luke and Rosie have been kind enough to offer me a space to work in their shop Forever Yours. Their shop is on the same street literally a few doors down so you won’t have to travel anywhere else to get tattooed by me. I feel this is the best opportunity for me to grow as an artist and provide a more focused approach to me work. I’m really excited for the future and to feel inspired again.
Please be aware that any bookings made from May onwards will be at the new location. If you have any concerns whatsoever don’t hesitate to send me a message! All that being said, I still have some space left in April so if you’d like to get tattooed in the shop before it closes, message me now 😄 You will still be able to contact me through the shop page as well as all of my own personal social media once I’ve made the move.
