🍂 Happy Friday from Oscar’s Pathway 💙

Autumn Sensory Exploration has had a good week indoors.

We also got out on the field — grass underfoot, a yellow ball, and a bit more space to move.Same week, different pace.
A calm finish to it.

Full-time, part-time and Saturday places are open.

🍂 We had some really settled sessions with the autumn resources.

Some people stayed with the tray and spent a long time feeling the different textures.

Others were at the table doing art, taking their time over the colours.

It was calm and focused, and everyone found their own way into it.

🍂🍁The water changed the leaves.

Once they went in, the yellows deepened, the reds spread out, and the whole tray turned into a slow drift of autumn colour.

Some leaves floated. Some folded under. A handful hovered above the surface before dropping in.

Not much else on the table. Just water, colour, and time to watch it move.

Look who we bumped into in Tesco today!💙

One of our amazing siblings was so excited to see The Sibling Group on the voting stand that he couldn’t wait to pick up his blue tokens and vote for us.

Moments like this mean everything.

children often feel isolated or overlooked because so much of family life revolves around their disabled brother or sister.

Our groups give them a space that’s just for them — to have fun, make friends who understand, and simply be kids.

Voting is in-store at Tesco Harrogate until 30 November 2026.
Every single token helps us keep running activities for local siblings.
If you’re shopping anyway, please grab a token and pop it in our box. It only takes a few seconds and really does make a difference.

Thank you so much for supporting us — please keep voting and share this so more people in Harrogate see it

🍂🍁 Autumn colour found its way onto everything!

Pine cones picked up yellow and orange paint, the colour catching in the scales.

Pumpkins sat on the table, smooth and bright, turned this way and that.

The tray was filled with water, leaves, moss and more pine cones, so the whole lot sat together — wet, dry, rough and soft.

A lot of looking. A lot of feeling. A bit of splash. Three small setups, and a lot of autumn in them. ☺️

Good Morning! 🌅😀

This week’s theme is Autumn Sensory Exploration!

The focus is pinecones, leaves, sticks and autumn colour — the textures, the sounds and the shifting shades of the season.

There will be time to look closely at the different shapes of leaves, feel the rough scales of a pinecone against smoother bark and sticks, and notice how the colours move from yellow and gold into orange, red and brown.

The crunch of dry leaves, the tap of a stick and the earthy smell of autumn all belong in this too.

Autumn has plenty to show us this week, if we take the time to look. 🍁🍂
