Breathwork, Healing & The Power of the Breath
Anne-Marie is currently deepening her breathwork training with Leland Holgate, founder of The Willful Warrior and creator of the Welcome Home Method — a breath-led approach designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and personal transformation.
Leland Holgate’s work combines neuroscience, psychology, and ancient breathing practices to help people reconnect with themselves through the power of conscious breathing. A combat veteran, trauma survivor, and breathwork facilitator, his teachings focus on helping people regulate stress, release stored trauma, and develop greater calm, resilience, and clarity through the breath. Through this ongoing training, Anne-Marie continues to deepen her understanding of the transformative potential of breathwork and brings these insights into her Thursday Breathwork Class at 5:30pm at the Yorkshire Centre for Wellbeing.
Breathwork is increasingly recognised for its ability to support nervous system health, emotional regulation, sleep, energy, and overall wellbeing. According to The Willful Warrior approach, conscious breathing practices can help interrupt stress patterns, calm the nervous system, and support the release of long-held tension and emotional stress.
Anne-Marie has also been working with individuals living with Parkinson’s and has witnessed the positive impact that conscious breathing practices can have in supporting relaxation, breath awareness, emotional wellbeing, and overall quality of life. While every individual’s experience is unique, many participants report feeling calmer, more connected, and better equipped to navigate daily challenges.
These sessions offer a safe, supportive, and nurturing space to explore the healing potential of the breath — one breath at a time.
