There are two main ways the body becomes imbalanced 🩻
The first is macro trauma:💥
• falls
• sprains
• whiplash injuries
• accidents

The second is micro trauma:💻
• repetitive jobs
• one-sided sports
• posture habits
• sitting patterns
• everyday stresses and strains

Most people can remember the big injuries they've had, but often it's the small things repeated every day that slowly pull the body out of balance.

Over time this can create:
• muscle imbalances
• joint stiffness
• nerve irritation
• reduced mobility
• tension throughout the body

Often the place where you feel the pain isn't actually where the problem started.
This is something we see every day in clinic and one of the reasons we've developed our new Active Balance Body & Mind Reset sessions.

Your Body Doesn't Just Need Rest... It Needs A RESET

Every day your body is adapting and compensating.
Old injuries, repetitive jobs, one-sided habits, sports, stress and tension can slowly cause the body to become twisted, distorted and out of balance.🩻
As this happens, some muscles start pulling too tight, others stop working as well as they should, pressure becomes uneven through the joints and spine, and nerves can become irritated.💥
This is one of the reasons why seemingly unrelated conditions such as:
• back pain
• neck tension
• sciatica
• knee pain
• headaches
• plantar fasciitis
can often be connected.

Where you get pain isn’t always where the problem is actually coming from 💥
An old sprained ankle, twisted pelvis or imbalance somewhere else in the body can slowly change the way pressure travels through the joints, muscles and nerves — often leading to pain somewhere completely different.🌀
One of the most important things is learning to become more aware of your body and understanding simple ways to help reset and rebalance it throughout everyday life.⛰️🚴‍♀️🏋️‍♀️
These aren’t just things you do on a mat or in a class.
Breathing techniques, posture awareness, grounding and simple reset techniques can be used anywhere:
• at work
• walking
• sitting at a train station
• when stressed

Most people think pain is the actual problem…
But often it’s the body compensating for imbalance somewhere else. 💥

If the pelvis and spine shift out of balance it changes the pressure going through the joints, muscles, nerves and discs — which can lead to pain patterns throughout the body.
