There are things happening here that you can’t see… 🎶🌧️
Sound travels through us as vibration. Our ears receive it, our brain processes it, our nervous system responds to it… and sometimes, before we’ve even consciously decided to relax, something inside us has already begun to soften.
This is one of the things I find so fascinating about sound.
These are the unseen threads. ✨
Research into sound, music and meditation is helping us understand more about what may be happening beneath the surface: shifts in brainwave activity, changes in heart rate and breathing, reduced stress and activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, the part associated with our rest and restore state.
But you don’t need to understand all the science to experience sound.
So consider this a little experiment. 🧪✨
🎧 Pop your headphones on.
Close your eyes if it feels comfortable.
Listen to the rain falling through the rain tower…
Feel the different frequencies of the quartz crystal singing bowls…
And just notice.
Does your breathing change?
Do your shoulders drop?
Does your mind become a little quieter?
Can you feel the sound anywhere in your body?
You don’t need to make anything happen.
Just listen. Receive. Notice.
Because sometimes frequency reaches the places that words simply can’t. 🌿
And if one minute leaves you wanting a little more…
✨ Local to Hastings/St Leonards? You can join me this Saturday evening at the Humble Hub for a full Hazeology Sound Journey.
🎧 Further away? There are also short sound journeys on my website created for you to experience at home with headphones, whenever you need a little space to reconnect and restore some balance to mind, body and spirit.
For now, though…
Headphones on. Volume comfortable. And give yourself one minute to simply be. 🌧️🎶✨
