Yesterday was International Day of the Student Midwife and what a day it was - we will be posting lots over the next few days about our celebrations and thanking some amazing students and businesses for everything they've done for our first ever event!
Thank you to the The Royal College of Midwives for the grant we received and picnic blanket.

Postpartum deserves so much more attention than it gets.

We spend 9 months preparing for birth…
But what about the months (and years) after?

Your body is healing.
Your hormones are shifting.
Your nutrient stores are being rebuilt.
And if you're breastfeeding, your body is continuing to give so much.

One of the biggest things I wish more moms understood is that postpartum recovery isn't just about surviving the first 6 weeks. It's about supporting your body through an entire season of rebuilding.

This morning we had the pleasure of speaking to North Hertfordshire College students about midwifery, being a student midwife and our awesome society ❤️.
These students are brilliant and are learning the fundamentals of health and social care with a mixture of theory and practicals where they have a simulation ward, ambulance and flat. - it is so realistic!
