Yesterday was International Day of the Student Midwife and what a day it was - we will be posting lots over the next few days about our celebrations and thanking some amazing students and businesses for everything they've done for our first ever event!
Thank you to the The Royal College of Midwives for the grant we received and picnic blanket.
LW Design for the gift bags, badges, pens and letting me borrow a crate (you will get it back), you have worked so hard on all the bits and put up with my endless messages - you are amazing!! https://www.etsy.com/shop/bloomingmidwife/?etsrc=sdt for the amazing keyrings - check out Rachels etsy page (once I have her fb and insta page I'll share it).
Laura Young for the delicious (best cakes and shortbread I've ever tasted) and the knitted bo***es and mouths so we can give demonstrations to mummy's instead of just talking.
Natasha for making certificates - I'll hand out ASAP.
Imogen Addison for the other awesome bo***es.
Tamzin who made the table centrepieces.
Hertfordshire Students' Union for all their help, especially Amelia with my million emails, meetings and generally being a bug. ❤️❤️
Everyone who came yesterday.
Finally to my girls who helped plan this event and are by my side in our society - Ashleigh Martin-Chaplin - the one who is always there anytime day or night, Shannon Davis, Imogen, Kylie, and Emily - without all of you none of this year would have been possible and of course all the wonderful cohorts at University of Hertfordshire Herts Midwifery Society thank you all ###
