Sometime all a client wants is a subtle change, to have a ‘tinted brow’ look 24/7. Nothing heavy. Just soft and natural ✨

Semi-Permanent Make-up, other wise known as ‘cosmetic tattooing’ or ‘Micropigmentation’. Is a process of using a needle and machine to implant high quality grade pigment (not permanent ink) into the skin to create a ‘make-up look’ for everyday. This treatment is designed to be semi-permanent (as the name suggests) so that it can fade over time, because trends change, as does your face. The brows you want in your 20’s will not be the brows you want in your 40’s/50’s/60’s and beyond. They NEED to be changeable.

Microblading, on the other hand, is done using a small razor blade that cuts the skin and the pigment is essentially rubbed into the cuts. It’s not a treatment we offer for many reasons. So when you hear the term ‘microblading’ please know that’s not a blanket term for all SPMU. It’s merely a buzz word mostly.

Subtle, natural improvements in skin quality, hydration and texture. This isn’t a filler result… it’s skin regeneration 🌿

🌱 Under-eye improvement – the skin beneath the eye appears smoother with less crepiness and a more hydrated appearance.

🌱 Better skin quality through the mid-cheek – the texture looks more refined and even, especially around the area with the small blemishes.

🌱 Improved radiance – the skin on the after photo reflects light more evenly, giving a healthier glow.

🌱Softer nasolabial area – not dramatically changed (which is what I’d expect from polynucleotides), but the skin around the smile line appears a little firmer and better supported.

🌱 Overall fresher appearance – this is actually the biggest change. If I showed these photos to someone without telling them what had been done, I think they’d say she looks more rested and healthier rather than “treated.”

The thing I like most is that this is after only two sessions and before the third treatment. Polynucleotides are generally intended as a course of treatments and work by improving skin quality over time rather than producing an immediate filler-like effect. Studies have reported improvements in skin texture, firmness, hydration and radiance after a treatment course, which is exactly the sort of change that seems visible here!
