Platypus Swimming Club was delighted to host its Inter-Club Gala on Sunday 31st May 2026 at Hatfield Swimming Centre. There were 40 swimmers from five teams, namely Platypus A Team, Platypus B Team, Dolphins (Stevenage), Turtles (Ruislip) and Runnymede (Benfleet). Congratulations to Runnymede who were the winning team. We were also delighted to welcome our special Paralympian guest Louise Fiddes! Platypus Swimming Club celebrated its 60th Anniversary with a BBQ at Mayflower Place Hertingfordbury, for Club Members and special guests on Sunday 5th July 2026! We were delighted to welcome The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, the Mayor of Hatfield and para-swimmer Harry Arnold-Pepper to our event. Platypus Swimming Club are delighted to have won the One Welwyn Hatfield Awards ‘Community Sports Club of the Year’ in the Club’s 60th Anniversary year! This is the second time the Club has won the award.

Swimming session 15th February - Hatfield Pool advise the small pool is running cold today (14/2) and is likely to be the same tomorrow during our Club session (15/2). The main pool temperature is unaffected.
