I recently attended a research workshop at the University of Sussex led by Katie Harrison, who is exploring social connection in Yoga for her PhD.
It made me reflect on something I hadn’t fully considered before: how much of what we do as Yoga teachers goes beyond the physical practice. The sense of connection in a class, between people, often happens quietly, without us naming it.
I’ve written a blog exploring this idea and why it might be more important than we think, especially in a time when many people feel increasingly disconnected.
We are wired for connection, yet loneliness is rising. Learn the science of social connection and how group practices can help you feel deeply supported and safe.
