It’s the little things that make a big difference 🌺

One of our lovely customers was feeling down and mentioned how much she missed going on walks and seeing the pretty pink flowers nearby.

Our care worker listened, remembered and surprised her with some beautiful pink flowers to brighten up her home and her day.

A simple act of kindness and a lovely example of truly person- centred care.

Sometimes the loveliest moments come completely unexpected…

On Tuesday, we had a very special visitor at the HHC office. The son of one of the people we previously supported popped in simply to catch up and very kindly brought the team some chocolates 🍫

After his visit, we received an email that meant even more:

“You and Havant Homecare were amazing when I needed support caring for Dad. You made such a difference to Dad and I. If there’s anything I can ever do, please let me know.”

Messages like this are incredibly special to receive.

To have someone take the time to come back and see us and then send such lovely words afterwards really does mean a lot to the whole team. Thank you for the chocolates, the visit and most importantly for trusting HHC to be part of your family’s journey. 💙

Stevie joined HHC in November and has already made a fantastic start to her journey with us. She has shown real commitment to her development and has already taken the next step by starting her Level 5 qualification!

This week we were touched to receive a beautiful thank you card from the family of a former customer, expressing their appreciation for the care, kindness and support our team provided during what was a difficult journey.

With temperatures risings, it’s important to take extra care of ourselves and those around us. Especially older adults and people with underlying health conditions.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe during the hot weather.

💧 Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains or blinds during the hottest part of the day.
👕 Wear light, loose fitting clothing.
☀️ Avoid going outside during the hottest hours where possible.
🤝 Check in on elderly relatives, neighbours or friends to make sure they’re keeping well.
