Brogan and I are all done for Christmas! We will be back on the 28th and then normal business resumes in January. We honestly can’t thank everyone enough for their loyalty, friendship, laughs, custom and everything in between. It’s been a really amazing year for business and with Pierced by Brogan joining too, it’s just the absolute dream place to be! We are so thankful for each and every one of you. Merry Christmas everyone and we hope you have a really wonderful one 🎄🤍✨

Brogan has guested on & off at the studio since it opened & every time she has, we’ve had the best time together with our clients.

Brogan has been on a break from piercing & after having her join tiny tatt day yesterday, where she smashed it out of the park, she’s decided it’s the right time for her to come back & she’s decided that Studio 8123. is the right place for her to be, so she’s back with a bang & ready to pierce at the studio regularly! (Yaaay!)
The Studio has always been my home & not only is this Brogan’s new place of work, but it is her home now too & we come as a team!

Brogan has been a qualified piercer for over 3 years & from the time I’ve known her, she’s offered nothing but the best service for all ages.

I’m very, very proud to have her join me at the studio & I know, you’re all going to love being in there with us too!

You’ve had the studio, so here’s a little bit of in case you didn’t know about me.
-I’m Jess, Owner of Studio 8123. I am 33 and thankfully, finally know exactly what makes me happy and part of that is my studio and my job 🤍
-I have a 6 year old Son who is my absolute best friend, his name is Flynn.
-My music taste is a lot pop punk, a little bit country, a little bit rock and whole lot of Disney. I have a good few favourite bands/artists, but The Maine are up there being one of my absolute favourites (yes, I am also a firm Michael Buble lover too)
-Before tattooing I used to work in a bridal shop helping brides pick out their weddings dresses. Years ago I applied to be an air hostess with BA, got the interviews and then realised I freaking hate flying!
-As most of my clients know, when I tattoo and pull lines I hold my breath and with the little bit of oxygen left, I sing.
-I love karaoke and Ironic by Alanis Morisette is my go to song (I can’t hold a tune by the way, but that’s what makes karaoke fun right?)
-Tattooing as a career was never on my radar until I was offered the opportunity to give it a go, I grabbed it with both hands and I’ve never loved a job more. 🥹🤍
-I decorated the entire Studio and filled it with every little bit of decor that makes me smile and everyone who comes in says the whole place suits my personality! There’s a whole lottttt of red, pink and disco balls 🪩
-I would love to see the Northern lights, but hate the cold and the Maldives is up there on my bucket list
-I once holidayed with Chris Eubank and his kids. Chris Eubank Jr gave us his email address, but I didn’t know who he was so I threw it away 😂
-One of my greatest achievements ever is this Studio of mine and the work I do every day. Thank you all for being part of it and for joining me on this crazy journey and I hope to see a lot more of you all in the future for tattoos or karaoke 🤍🪩

In case you didn’t know:
- Studio 8123. was created by me, and I’ll do a little post about me, but for now, this is about the studio.
- The name is inspired by one of my favourite bands ever
- Inspired by a quote from the lead singer which is “Find those people and those passions that you would literally give it all up for, and make those connections. Run wildly with those crazy ideas.”
- The concept is that Studio 8123. is more than just a tattoo studio, it’s a safe place for everyone who enters, for whatever their story might be, Studio 8123. is like home.
- Created with the intention of being different from your regular tattoo space, Studio 8123. is a vibrant pink & red with essence of disco ball in every corner. There is not a stuffed dead animal in sight.
- Sometimes getting a tattoo can be a daunting prospect, it’s so personal that anxiety is usually the fuel that people walk in with. Everyone who has come to the studio says about how calm they instantly feel and for me, that’s the most important. You can be at ease that you’re in safe hands and that we can work on the tattoo process together. It should be a fun experience, not a daunting one!
- The idea of having my own studio was a crazy one, but here I am and of all the paths I have walked, I am so glad I picked this one! Thank you for every one of you that has supported this journey so far and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

It’s a long, but important one.
On international women’s day I got to tattoo gorgeous Laura who wanted a tattoo for her own empowerment. I have lost sleep worrying about how we were gonna get this placement all the way around, with a freaking straight line to add to the panic and she most likely was worried about the needle by her crotch (don’t blame you hun) but together, we smashed it. She assured me and I assured her and we did it girl! 👌🤍
Now… for the nitty gritty. It’s 2024 & yet here we are, still needing an IWD. Why? Because gender equality is still something that we have to fight for. There are women in other countries STILL fighting for the rights to do what they want with their own bodies. How is that still happening?! Women being controlled at home, in the workplace, doing the same jobs as other genders but still getting paid less. Getting less respect than they deserve.
I am so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by strong, independent women who back my corner in work and in personal life. The women I have met in this industry have been nothing but supportive since I began. I’m so very lucky to have been able to work alongside such incredible, strong, inspirational talents who I get to call my friends as well. A big thank you to every single client and person that supports me and this business venture of mine. I am who I am because of all of you. 🤍
To the other women in business (any business at all!), we have got this and we’re here to stay. We have every right to be here just as much as anyone else, to be awarded with the same recognition throughout life as others get. To know that every woman, whether that be in the work place, at home, on a night out, anywhere in the world. That we all share the same united goal, to have each others back, to stand for what’s right and to push each other up because united we are stronger. Here’s to the women of today, the women of the past and the future generations.

Here’s something that usually makes people go “oh…” and look at me funny when I say it. But I’ve never actually watched Harry Potter. I feel like it’s too late now considering the entire cast are well into their 30’s, however I do know that this is the golden snitch and that I loved doing it for wonderful Cassie!
Has anyone else not watched Harry Potter? Comment below and let the Potter heads slate you too 😂
