From sim racing to the real track – and inspiring others with type 1 diabetes along the way! 💙

We’re absolutely thrilled to see Zachary Houghton featured by BBC News following an incredible milestone in his racing journey.

The teenager from Redhill, Surrey, who lives with type 1 diabetes, completed his first Formula Ford race at the end of August – getting behind the wheel of a racing car on a circuit for the very first time.

Zachary hopes his journey can inspire other people living with type 1 diabetes and show that the condition doesn’t have to stop you from pursuing your ambitions.
