‼️Out of Hours Service Update‼️
From 1st July, Hawick Veterinary Practice and Greenside Veterinary Practice will be working together to provide a shared out of hours emergency service.
This decision has not been taken lightly. We understand how important local emergency veterinary care is to our clients and their animals, and we appreciate that this change may be concerning for some.
By combining our out of hours service, we can ensure the long-term sustainability of emergency veterinary care, allowing us to continue providing a safe, reliable, and high-quality service for both our small animal and farm clients. Sharing resources and veterinary expertise across both practices will help us maintain emergency cover for the future.
As part of this change, our vets and nurses will be working across both sites. Many clients may therefore meet members of our wider team, giving everyone the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge, skills and experience of the wonderful staff at both practices.
There will be no change to how you contact us in an emergency. Simply call your usual practice number and follow the instructions provided.
Outside of the spring season, clients requiring an out of hours consultation will be asked to attend Greenside Veterinary Practice. Our team will provide clear guidance and support whenever emergency care is needed.
We appreciate that travelling further may be inconvenient, and we are grateful for your understanding as we make this necessary change. Our priority remains providing the best possible care for your animals whenever they need us.
