NHS Borders are encouraging people to attend their drop-in sessions.
If you are eligible, their is a drop-in session today in Hawick π
We're holding some drop-in clinics next week for eligible people to drop-in for their flu and/or COVID-19 vaccination. There's no need to make an appointment, just come along on the day, get protected and tick another thing off your to-do list before Christmas!
New data published yesterday by Public Health Scotland provides clear evidence that this yearβs vaccine is doing a good job of preventing severe flu. So far this winter, children in Scotland are 78% less likely to be admitted to hospital with flu if vaccinated; with vaccinated adults in Scotland aged 65 and over 37% less likely to be hospitalised.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the clinic end time. You may need to wait a short while to be seen, as people with pre-booked appointments will be given priority.
You are eligible to attend if you meet the criteria below:
Flu Vaccination Only
β’ All those aged 65 years and over
β’ All those aged 18 years to under 65 years in defined risk groups
β’ Frontline health and social care workers
β’ Non-frontline NHS workers
β’ Poultry workers & bird handlers
β’ Unpaid carers and young carers
β’ Household contacts of those with immunosuppression
β’ Pregnant Women
Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination:
β’ All adults aged 75 years and over
β’ Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed
