Cam Treble is one of the most inspirational people to have benefitted from using our PAWS.

Cam, who lives in Ringwood, Dorset, sustained a T10 spinal injury following a paragliding accident a year ago which left him paralysed from the waist down.

Prior to his accident Cam worked for Camps International organizing expeditions for students around the world. 💬I have always loved the outdoors and everything that comes with it so my accident was a huge challenge both physically and mentally as I was having to transition from one extreme life to another, but I was determined not to be defeated💬.

While having treatment and rehabilitation in hospital Cam spent hours researching how he could continue his passions be it with a difference. Just a year after his accident, he is already back working part time at Camps International. In addition, he is driving again since taking delivery of his adapted vehicle and is on the pathway for the 2030 Team GB Biathlon team. In his free time, Cam is often skiing, water skiing, wake boarding, playing wheelchair basketball along with various other activities.

Cam purchased his wheelchair through Adaptiv Mobility who told him about the PAWS, 💬I asked if I could try one out as it looked like a great bit of kit and I wasn’t wrong💬.

Cam has been putting the PAWS Cruiser through its paces for a couple of months. 💬I think it’s fantastic, I use it to get around town, days out with friends etc and going up and down hills is no longer a problem – it is also great for going along the beach front – it lets me do things that simply weren’t possible before. It is very user friendly, the cruise control is great when I go for a walk with friends and even though I am 6ft 6” there is still plenty of leg room. One of the benefits for me personally is that it allows me to have ‘rest days’. As any wheelchair user will tell you, using a wheelchair requires a huge amount of upper body strength but now I can have days where I attach the PAWS, and my arms and shoulders get a ‘day off’ and that is great. I would 100% recommend PAWS to other wheelchair users and have already done so💬😃👍.
