Walk it, Wheel it - Your Way.

This November, we’re inviting everyone to get moving for Kangaroos with our brand new inclusive fundraising challenge.

There’s no set distance, no minimum target, and no one-size-fits-all challenge. Complete it all in one go, or throughout the whole month of November.

Choose what distance works for you, and how you want to do it:

👟 Walk a few miles with your family
🧑‍🦽‍➡️ Wheel your way towards a personal goal
🐾 Clock up miles on the dog walk
🏃🏻‍♀️ Set yourself a bigger target to challenge yourself
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Get friends and family involved
🏢 Take on the challenge as a team with your colleagues

Every mile counts. Every person counts. And every pound raised helps Kangaroos continue providing clubs, activities and opportunities for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities across Sussex.

Starting on 1st November, the challenge will conclude with a special festive finale and one final walk together at the Haywards Heath Lantern Parade on 28th November.

A huge thank you to Focus Foundation!

We were delighted to be invited to the 2026 Focus Group South Golf Day at Mannings Heath Golf Club, where Jenni and Katy had the opportunity to talk about Kangaroos and the difference our clubs, activities and trips make to our members and their families.

We are incredibly grateful that the day raised £2,000 for Kangaroos. Thank you to everyone who played, donated and helped make this possible.

The Golf Day raised more than £20,000 in total for grassroots charities, which is a fantastic achievement.

A very special thank you to the team at Focus Foundation for inviting us, supporting Kangaroos and bringing so many people together to raise funds for local charities.

A huge thank you to everyone at Cuckfield Golf Centre for a fantastic Kangaroo Cup!

48 players took to the course for this year’s competition, raising over £1,200 for Kangaroos. The fundraising started before the golf even got underway, with plenty of games and challenges helping to add to the total.

A special thank you to this year’s captains Karen Lewis, Mike Robertson and Bruce Somerville for all the hard work that went into organising such a brilliant event, and to everyone at Cuckfield Golf Centre who helped make the day such a success.

A huge thank you to Darren Stevens, who took on an incredible challenge to raise funds for Kangaroos!

On 29th August, Darren completed 72 holes of golf in just one day at Cuckfield Golf Centre, walking the entire way. And as you can see from the photos, the weather certainly didn’t make it easy!

Despite the pouring rain, Darren kept going and was still smiling throughout, raising a fantastic £2,059 for Kangaroos.

We’re so grateful to Darren for taking on such a brilliant challenge, and to everyone who supported and sponsored him along the way. What an achievement!

What a lovely day at Haywards Heath Town Day last Saturday!

It was fantastic to meet so many people at the Kangaroos stall, playing games, chatting with members of the community, introducing some of our members and spreading the word about the work we do.

Town Day also gave us the first opportunity to introduce our new Kangaroos Quiet Area. Set back from the hustle and bustle of the main event, it offered a calm, quiet space for anyone who needed some time out.

With simple sensory and colouring activities, beanbags and ear defenders available, people could take a break, switch off for a little while and reset before heading back to enjoy the day.

A big thank you to Duncan Pascoe and everyone at Haywards Heath Town Council for bringing the community together and organising such a brilliant event. Thank you too for giving people the opportunity to support Kangaroos throughout the day, and to everyone who stopped by, had a chat or made a donation.

And that’s a wrap on KangaTrail 2026!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part over the summer, exploring Haywards Heath and finding our 12 colourful kangaroos. We hope you had lots of fun following the trail and discovering them along the way.

We’d also like to say a very special thank you to all of the brilliant local businesses and organisations who sponsored our kangaroos, hosted them and helped make KangaTrail possible. Your support has meant so much to Kangaroos and our members.

We’ll be announcing our competition winner tomorrow, so keep an eye on our socials!

Kerry-Anne is taking fundraising to new heights!

She’s getting ready to take on an incredible Wing Walk, all to raise vital funds for Kangaroos and the children, young people and adults we support.

It’s a busy Sunday in Haywards Heath today!

The Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride is taking place today, with Kangaroos as one of the charities being supported. Good luck to everyone getting on their bikes and taking part!

It’s also the final day of the KangaTrail, so there’s still time to get out and find our 12 colourful kangaroos around Haywards Heath.

Pick up a trail map from any of the KangaTrail locations, or head to the Kangaroos stand opposite the Cycle Centre today to collect one.

It was great to see Mims Davies MP this morning, pictured here with Emma and one of our kangaroos.

The trail is free to take part in, but every donation helps us continue providing clubs, trips and activities for children and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs.
