For sportspeople, getting the right care at the right time matters.
And that doesn’t always mean surgery.
Sometimes it’s reassurance and a clear diagnosis. Sometimes it’s further imaging or specialist assessment. Sometimes it’s physiotherapy, a guided injection or another intervention. And sometimes surgery is the right answer.
The difficult part for athletes is the uncertainty.
How serious is the injury?
Can I keep playing?
How long will I be out?
Do I need an operation?
And if I do, when can I get back?
At Sozo Clinic, we’ve developed our sports injury service around timely access to specialist assessment and treatment…. from straightforward injuries that need reassurance and a plan, through to complex injuries that may ultimately require surgery.
The aim isn’t to treat faster for the sake of it. It’s to get the right person, seeing the right specialist, making the right decision as early as possible.
Because when you make your living through sport, waiting months or even weeks simply to find out what’s wrong can be a significant part of the problem.
Sozo Clinic Leeds specialist sports injury care, from diagnosis to return-to-play. Tonight we celebrate three patients of our medical director (Shoulder2Wrist), all of whom are competing at the highest level tonight. We wish them all the best!
