Watercolours & Wellbeing Event...

Did you know that global phone usage statistics reveal:

Last night I went to my very first Paint & Sup night with my friend held at Riverview in South Shields which was hosted by local Artist Linda Gordon Love Shaped Space

So much fun ~ but the best thing for me was reconnecting with a love of painting which I’ve not done since school days. Now I’m no Picasso but I did win a couple of school art competitions ha

The other thing I loved was the disconnection from my phone. Instead a couple of hours concentrating & chatting to those around.

I had a great night sleep and so looking forward to collaborating with Linda who taught us, bringing mindful paint classes to the Alternative Therapies Wellness Centre.

Think calming music, getting lost in your painting & disconnecting from the world for an hour or so.

What’s not to love.

Imagine being able to be taken off blood pressure tablets, inhalers and no longer being classed as asthmatic? best gift ever eh?!

My client came to me prior to Christmas as whilst her physical training was going really well, she felt her alcohol intake was letting her down, after a consultation which followed with hypnosis she has now reported yesterday that she has maintained her abstinence of alcohol and better still is now free of medicines!

Physical training and work outs without a doubt has helped with this but the giving up of alcohol has allowed her to take her training to another level. What a great gift shes given herself.

Happiness is a complex emotion…

It can be hard to put it in to steps. In my client sessions I like to focus on the solutions to the problems that cause unhappiness.

So here’s a tip for anyone out there who has a problem causing you unhappiness, grab a pen and some paper.

1. What is your main stress struggle, the thing that’s causing you anxiety, causing discomfort – write it down.
2. Why is it happening - write it down.
3. What is the worst thing that can happen – write it down.
4. What would you do if that happened – write it down.

By asking & journaling these simple questions will often help you find the answers, the solutions to the problem.

Moving the stress struggle from your emotional side to your logical side by writing it down and formulating a logical plan will help reduce the anxiety & discomfort.
