💗 16 MILE CHARITY WALK IN MEMORY OF HEATHER 💗

Our lovely Gill and Pam are taking on an amazing 16-mile walk from Hebburn to Durham Cathedral in loving memory of the wonderful Heather Winthrop. 🕊️💕

On Saturday 19th September, they’ll be setting off bright and early at 8am from Parkside, Hebburn, walking all the way to Durham Cathedral to raise money for Cancer Connections, a fantastic South Tyneside charity supporting people affected by cancer.

☀️🍔 Hawthorn Court Summer BBQ! 🌭🎶

What a lovely afternoon we’ve had at our Summer BBQ today! 💛

After seeing the weather forecast for Friday, we made the last-minute decision to bring our BBQ forward — and thankfully it paid off! ☀️🙌 It certainly wasn’t a washout, and it was wonderful to see our garden full of residents, families and friends enjoying themselves together. 🥰

A huge thank you to all of our families who joined us. Seeing the garden so busy and everyone enjoying the afternoon together is exactly what these events are all about. ❤️

I also want to say a massive thank you to my wonderful Hawthorn Court team, including our gardeners, who managed to pull everything together in just two days after the change of date! 👏 You all worked so hard to make sure our residents still had a fantastic day.

And a special shout-out to Jayne, who was an absolute star on the grill, keeping everyone fed with plenty of burgers! 🍔🔥 I think we can officially add BBQ Queen to her job title! 😂👑

🏆DOMINOES CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆
Today we held our very own Hawthorn Court Dominoes Tournament — and there was plenty of friendly competition! 😄
Each player played 3 games, with all their scores added together, the winners then progressed through to the next round until we crowned our overall champions! 👏

We decided to take the bar on tour, going from room to room so nobody missed out! 😄
There was something for everyone, with a selection of cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines and soft drinks on offer. 🍹🍺🍷🥤
Plenty of choices, plenty of smiles and, of course, a few very happy customers! ❤️
Who needs to go to the pub when the pub comes to you?! 😂🍻
