Meet Susie – she sneaks in on the occasional Saturday to take photos of stock and dogs, but is usually quietly working away in the background helping with social media.

What is your favourite thing about Hebden Bridge?
I love the vibe, everyone is warm and friendly and the abundance of independent shops makes pottering around and shopping a total joy. I often walk along the canal home to Todmorden after a visit, which is stunning.

What are you most likely to spend all your pocket money on in Weighsted?
Kombucha and chocolate, there’s such a delicious selection of both!

What’s the most unhinged/weird thing you have done to reduce waste?
I buy everything on Vinted, including underwear (new with tags obviously!)

Drinking that is good for you...

Lemonaid & ChariTea drinks are really tasty, made with organic ingredients, nothing weird added in, and Fairtrade too.

A fizzy drink that feels like a treat but doesn’t come with the usual rubbish.

We have lots of great boxes here that are in need of re homing. They’re in lovely condition so I’m loathed to take them to be recycled, it seems such a waste of resources. Many diff shapes and sizes. Please do drop by and grab some or just to admire my collection 😆 . Have a beautiful day xx

We have all the kit if you want to go plastic and waste free with your oat milk.
uk oat milk is delicious.

You buy it in powder form and either mix it with water and store it in the fridge ready to use, or you can put the powder straight into your hot drinks.

It is such a great hack for travelling light and camping.

And you don't sacrafice on flavour or nutrition.

Here we are in Anglesey. It's so bloody hot we've had to retreat to the van a few hours. Black dogs aren't really suited to sunny days, neither are very pale zero waste shop owners. With huge thanks to Tracey Wilson for the amazing van we've had a really lovely time.

The overwhelming consensus in Weighsted is that these water filters make water tasty.

You just drop it into your water bottle (we have a great selection of those too).

We are very lucky in Hebden Bridge that our Yorkshire water is lovely, but it isn't always the case when we venture out.

These charcoal filters from filter our chemicals and impurities, leaving behind the good minerals that naturally occur in water.
