Satori - Psychotherapy, Reflexology, Ecotherapy & Off-grid Accommodation I work with groups & one-to-one. Ever since my dad died in 2002 I began realising that I hadn’t been fulfilling my soul purpose in life. All, so healing.

As a Pesso Boyden psychotherapist, counsellor, basket weaver, reflexologist, wild-food-forager and nature enthusiast, I support people's wellbeing through rest, creativity and nature. I’d been doing what I thought was right rather than what my heart felt was right. This message was compounded when I had breast cancer in 2007. Since these two life changing experiences I’ve been following my dream,

literally, to evolve a healing retreat for people. That path has undoubtedly led me to connect with and understand the healing powers of Nature and the importance of being present. I’ve awakened to the wonderful world of edible wild food which Nature offers us in abundance, for free, with the exact properties we need relating to times of year, vitamins, minerals.... I’ve awakened to the wonderful world of Nature based crafts such as taking a bundle of willow sticks and turning them in to beautiful and practical baskets. I’ve awakened to the wonderful world of creative writing which helps me release nagging negative thoughts, become more sensually aware and again become more present. I’ve awakened to the wonderful world of Reflexology and its ability to help people relax and release, repair and restore their balance, and rest. And thanks to my dear friend Juliet, I’ve awakened to the amazing counseling technique Pesso Boyden (PBSP, Pesso Boyden System Psycomotor), which has truly transformed the way I weave through my daily life, more fluidly, releasing unhelpful patterns of behaviour, allowing me to become more fully who I am meant to be in this world. Life has its challenges, but, on the whole it is meant to be simple. We eat, need warmth and shelter, drink clean water, laugh, love, share stories, build relationship with each other and the land which surrounds and supports us....cry, get angry, grieve, love again...

I make mistakes and I aim to learn from them. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve loved to help people feel better. An awareness came to me of what they needed. I’m not sure how I knew certain things but I did. It’s this awareness that I’m evolving through my work at Satori and the surrounding land. Part of what I offer is to facilitate small groups, one to one workshops and bespoke retreats. I also offer Satori as a venue for other like-minded individuals to lead their own groups. Led by Nature and my heart’s desire I step forward ever gently upon this Earth which gave and gives me form, with all its beauty and ugliness. As I breathe, I listen.

I asked Sandy to share her heartfelt truth around the PBSP psychotherapy method I'm trained in (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor):

She said that PBSP "brings people alive, heals their past and gives them a better future"

I've just had an intense 3-days of supervision with her. It was full and brilliant. Continued supervision is essential for my learning, and to ensure I'm offering the best skills to my clients.

My takeaways:

* we all have 'voices' that run our lives - such as 'I'm no good at...' Voices tend to squash our vitality. By witnessing how they impact us, we can change the way we live our lives for the better.

* no person alive is 'ideal' - but through PBSP we can get a bodily felt sense of ideal-figures, who would have given us exactly what we needed when we were growing up so we could, and can, flourish now in life.

And on to the inner lining of Daisy Yurt 🛖

My, what a challenging job! I've now got aching fingers, aching shoulders and an aching neck 🤪

I've been putting off this job for years now (I'm an expert in procrastination!!). I was worried to see the state of a tent that had been left standing in all weathers on the Blackdown Hills for many years now.

To my surprise she's in excellent condition 🙏 hopefully she'll stand for many more 🙏

I look forward to welcoming her next guests ✨

Well, that was a hard day ! Replacing the cover on Daisy yurt. She's looking smart for her next guests now 🥰

At the same time as the new outer canvas, we replaced all the internal straps holding the felt insulation, which also needed hefting into place 🤪 we washed the roof sheet, sanded the wooden crown and swept the chimney.

We were all so tired at the end I treated us to a pub dinner in gratitude.

Thanks dear Rob, John and Andrew - there is no way I could have done this without you 🙏
