For a long time, I've been careful about talking too much about Mary Kay.

I think part of me worried people would put me in a box.

The "direct sales" box. And not see me for everything I offer

The truth is, Mary Kay has never been a box for me.

It was the opportunity that helped me step out of one.

I first sat down for a skincare consultation because I was struggling with acne.

What I didn't realise was that one conversation would lead to confidence, friendships, travel, personal growth, a business, my academy, leadership opportunities and the chance to help hundreds of women over the last 20 years.

When I look back, it was never really about the products.

It was about what became possible because I said yes to an opportunity I knew nothing about.

That's why I'm so passionate about helping women explore possibilities for themselves.

Not because everyone wants the same thing.

But because every woman deserves choices.

Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to change the direction of your life.

How many of us have a hairdresser we trust?

A dentist we go back to year after year?

An accountant, personal trainer or another professional whose advice we value?

Yet when it comes to our skin and makeup, many women are left to figure it out alone.

They stand in front of shelves full of products.
Scroll endless reviews.
Watch conflicting videos.
Buy something that looks promising.

Then hope for the best.

Sometimes it works.

Often it doesn't.

The result?

Drawers full of products that were expensive mistakes.

That's why I've always believed everyone should have their own personal beauty consultant.

Not someone whose job is simply to sell products.

Someone who gets to know your skin, your colouring, your lifestyle and what you're trying to achieve.

Someone you can message when you're unsure.

Someone who can help you avoid costly mistakes before you make them.

As a Mary Kay consultant, that's the role I love most.

Yes, I can recommend products.

But more importantly, I can help you find the right products.

With personalised advice, try-before-you-buy experiences and a 100% satisfaction guarantee, we can keep tweaking until we find what truly works for you.

It costs nothing to have a beauty consultant in your corner.

But it can save you a lot of wasted money, time and frustration.

So I'm curious...

Do you currently have someone you trust for beauty advice, or are you still trying to figure it all out by yourself?

✨ TRANSFORMATION REVEAL ✨

Every time I share one of these transformations, someone comments on the makeup, the hair or the finished look.

But what I notice is the smile.

The confidence.

The way someone carries themselves differently when they see what everyone else sees.

That's why I do what I do.

Over the next couple of months, I'm on a mission to help more women feel confident, beautiful and valued through skincare, makeup, lessons, pamper sessions and confidence-boosting experiences.

So whilst you're looking at this transformation, I'd love to ask you a question...

Who does this make you think of?

πŸ’— A friend who's lost a little confidence.
πŸ’— A busy mum who never puts herself first.
πŸ’— Someone going through a big life change.
πŸ’— A woman who deserves to feel special.
πŸ’— Or perhaps even you.

If someone springs to mind, tag them below, send them this post, or message me privately.

And as a little thank you, anyone who refers someone who books with me during June and July will receive a special summer treat. β˜€οΈ

Because sometimes the biggest transformation isn't how we look.

It's how we feel when we look in the mirror. πŸ’•

This morning, I went down to breakfast without makeup on.

That might not sound like a big deal.

But for much of my life, it would have been unthinkable.

I struggled with severe acne from my early teens well into adulthood, and for years I hid behind makeup because it felt safer than being seen.

Thankfully, my skin did improve. The right skincare, advice and support made a huge difference to both my skin and my confidence.

But this morning, sitting by the water in Croatia, I realised something.

The biggest transformation hasn't been my skin.

It's been how I see myself.

One of the biggest surprises of getting older is that I'm far more comfortable in my own skin in my 50s than I ever was in my 20s or 30s.

I've stopped chasing perfection.

I've stopped worrying so much about what other people think.

And I've learned that confidence isn't something that appears when everything is perfect.

It's something that grows when you stop letting your insecurities make the decisions.

Whether in life, business or leadership, I've found that many of the things we want are sitting on the other side of feeling uncomfortable.

Confidence.

Growth.

Opportunity.

Connection.

None of them come from hiding.

Sometimes they come from simply showing up as yourself.

What's something you're more confident about now than you were 10 years ago?

This morning, looking out at the water, I realised something.

For years I thought success looked a certain way.

More money.

More recognition.

More achievements.

More things.

And whilst there's nothing wrong with any of those, I've discovered they're not what matters most.

Success isn't what you have.

It's the choices you have.

The choice to spend time with the people you love.

The choice to take a break without feeling guilty.

The choice to build work around your life instead of squeezing your life around your work.

The choice to wake up excited about what you're creating.

Thirty years ago, when Derek and I got married, I couldn't have imagined the life we have today.

Not because it was handed to us.

Because it was built.

One decision at a time.

One opportunity at a time.

One brave step at a time.

I've learned that the biggest changes in life rarely come from one dramatic moment.

They come from having the courage to say yes when an opportunity appears.

To back yourself when nobody else can see your vision yet.

To keep moving forward when the outcome isn't guaranteed.

Too many women underestimate what is possible for them.

They play smaller than their potential.

They wait until they feel ready.

They wait until they feel confident.

They wait until the timing feels perfect.

The truth is, confidence usually comes after the decision, not before it.

Looking out at the water this morning, I felt incredibly grateful for every opportunity I said yes to, even the ones that scared me.

Because those decisions didn't just change my circumstances.

They changed the direction of my life.

What is something you value today that your younger self could never have imagined?

One of the saddest things I hear from women is:

β€œI hate looking in the mirror anymore.”

And honestly, that breaks my heart a little every time.

Because the women saying it are: - - beautiful
- capable
- caring
- strong
- holding so much together for everyone else

But somewhere along the way, they’ve stopped seeing themselves kindly.

Women go through so many different seasons in life.

Motherhood.
Stress.
Menopause.
Business.
Loss.
Burnout.
Rebuilding themselves.

Of course we change.

We were never supposed to stay exactly the same forever.

But society has made so many women feel like ageing, changing or looking different somehow means losing their beauty or value.

I completely disagree.

I think beauty deepens with life experience.

I think confidence, warmth, resilience, energy and self acceptance make women even more beautiful.

And honestly?

I wish more women could see themselves the way other people see them.

Because most women are far harder on themselves than anyone else ever would be 🀍
