We’re celebrating the incredible runners who have gone the extra mile for us — quite literally!

We asked one of our amazing runners to share a few words about their experience supporting us 👇
"Running for LLHM for Marches Family Network was an incredibly rewarding experience, pounding the streets of London to support such a fantastic charity.
Every mile helped fund vital social activities and short breaks for child, and young people with disabilities. It was an honour to sweat for a cause that brings so much joy and connection to these amazing families".

Introducing Together Plus and Together Juniors

We were very lucky to receive some grant funding from Herefordshire Council and West Mercia PCC to run some family sessions for 2 specific groups of families in Herefordshire, and bookings are now open!
To sign up, please complete the form linked below, or scan the QR code in the poster.
Together Juniors is for children aged 0-8 with SEND (no formal diagnosis necessary), whilst Together Plus is for any young person aged 0-25 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). If you are not sure if your child qualifies, please do get in touch.

Today we want to celebrate some of our incredible past volunteers who have now gone on to paid work within Marches Family Network.
Volunteering at Marches Family Network's sessions gives great experience for working with children and young adults, and we are always looking for more volunteers (as well as youth workers). If you are interested, please do get in touch.

🎉 1st to 7th June every year, it is National Volunteer Week 🎉

Dave, our newest member of our office team has shared his story with us:
"For Volunteer Week, I’ve been reflecting on how one opportunity can lead to something so meaningful.
Running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2025 was about so much more than completing a race. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, gave me the chance to raise funds for an incredible local charity, and showed me the real impact volunteers and supporters can have on children and families.
Every mile through London’s iconic landmarks felt even more special knowing I was supporting Marches Family Network. The experience left me with such a strong sense of pride and achievement — and it’s a feeling that stayed with me long after race day.
Now, to be working for MFN feels incredibly rewarding. I’m so proud to now be part of a team that makes such a positive difference every day, and I’m grateful that volunteering and fundraising helped lead me here. 💙"

Whilst the sun’s been shining bright, we’ve had lots of fun over half term. From trips to the beach and park, to shows with the incredible Sea Legs Puppet Theatre, as well as some great messy play at respite. There are still 2 more sessions coming up and we can’t wait!
