🚨 We've Had LOTS of Enquiries About Tattoo Age Restrictions... 🚨
One of the questions we've been asked the most recently is:
"Can I get a tattoo at 17 with parental consent?"
❌ The answer is NO.
In the UK, it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 – even if a parent or guardian is present and gives permission. There are no exceptions to this law.
To help clear up some of the confusion, we've put together our Tattoo & Piercing Age Guide, showing the minimum ages for tattoos and the different piercings we offer.
At Inkworx Tattoo Studio, we take age verification seriously to protect both our clients and our artists, so valid photo ID is required for all age-restricted procedures.

Can Inkworx Cover Scars? Absolutely. 🖤

We've had a lot of people ask recently if we can cover scars, and the answer is absolutely!

Every scar is different, which means every tattoo needs a thoughtful approach. Factors such as the age of the scar, how it has healed, its texture, and its location all play a part in deciding what is possible.

While we don't specialise exclusively in scar cover-ups, our artists are happy to assess healed scars and discuss whether a tattoo is a suitable option. If it is, we'll work with you to create a design that complements the area and gives you the best possible result.

If you're unsure whether your scar is ready, or you'd simply like some honest advice, get in touch with us. We're always happy to answer questions and arrange a consultation with one of our artists.

✨ First Tattoo? We've Got You! ✨

Getting your first tattoo is exciting, and a little preparation can make all the difference! Here's how to make sure your appointment goes as smoothly as possible:

✔️ Get a good night's sleep before your appointment.
✔️ Eat a proper meal – don't arrive on an empty stomach.
✔️ Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water the day before and on the day.
✔️ Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
✔️ Avoid sunburn – healthy skin tattoos much better.
✔️ Don't take blood-thinning medication (unless prescribed by your doctor).
✔️ Feel free to bring headphones, a drink, or a snack if you're booked in for a longer session.
✔️ Most importantly... don't be afraid to ask questions! We're here to help and want you to feel comfortable every step of the way.
