"Having spent almost five months in Hospital in September 2024, I then moved to a Care Home in Hoddesdon and thence another Care Home in Broxbourne, before I purchased my property in Benstede Court and my son sourced Manaaki Home Care -4 daily visits for my care. Under the circumstances, it is proving an inspired choice ! MANAAKI has an amazing propensity for providing personal care, encompassing punctuality, personal attention to cleanliness, ensuring clients' daily health requirements and conditions, proper meal and dietary needs and prepared to try and accommodate my social wishes ( where possible). The company tries very hard to maintain a continuity of carers, all of whom in my opinion, are well trained and caring, smartly dressed and a credit to the company and themselves.I feel exceptionally privileged to appreciate my carers and able to get support from the company's own 'helpline' - all of the above at a competitive cost. I have no hesitation in recommending MANAAK!"

Clocks spring forward, but Dementia may not understand.

We get cheered up as the evenings get longer and summer is on its way, but the time change can cause confusion to those with Dementia.

The Alzheimers Society has published this useful guide on how to support those that need it over the coming days.

"Ooh, spring is here!" said one of our lovely clients as we took some daffodils round to cheer them up.

Another got a bit emotional when the flowers were put on his table. It reminded him of his late wife who also put flowers there.

Amazing how such a small gesture can bring such a range of emotions.

Fantastic day at our Clients Christmas Party!

We had the first one last year, and our clients were really looking forward to another festive day this year.

Clients and family mixed with our staff and we all had a fantastic time with roast dinner, drinks, and musical entertainment.

Good to meet Dan from , and Great to get the message out the local community about home care helping keep our families together in their own homes.

It was lovely to visit the team at Manaaki Healthcare yesterday 😃 Based in town they provide personalised home care for locals in Hertford and the surrounding area.

Owner Sukhi gave me an overview of the many ways they are helping clients in the comfort of their own homes. Sukhi explained how home care can be an excellent option, keeping the comfort of familiar surroundings and retaining independence, whilst receiving top notch care.

From personal care to administration of medication, meal preparation and companionship visits, even accompanied trips to the shops .. I think our local carers do a truly fantastic job, and the team here seemed so warm and passionate about caring in the community and the many locals they support each and every day ❤️

I wanted to give them a mention and say Thank You for both the warm welcome, and the essential service they provide for residents here in Hertford 😃👍
