On Sunday 31st May at 2pm, we will be interring my mum’s ashes at St Mary’s Church, beside those of my dad. This weekend also marks my mum’s birthday on 1st June — she would have been 96 years old.
We would love for family, friends, and anyone who knew her to join us as we celebrate her life and her return to Dalton.
Afterwards, from around 2:30pm, we will be gathering at the Red Lion for refreshments and to share memories together.
Please feel free to spread the word to anyone who may wish to come along, as I don’t have contact details for everyone who might like to join us.

We’ll be saying goodbye to my Mum, Gwen Rigg, and celebrating her life on Wednesday 29th April at 11am at Harwood Park Crematorium in Stevenage. Anyone who knew and loved her is very welcome to join us.

Afterwards, we’ll be heading to The Rose and Crown in Welwyn for drinks and a chance to share memories and raise a glass to her.

Then on Sunday 31st May, we’ll be taking Mum home to Cumbria for the interment of her ashes next to those of my dad at St Mary’s Church in Dalton-in-Furness at 2pm.

After the service, please join us at The Red Lion in Dalton for drinks and refreshments.

We’d really love for anyone who knew Mum to come along to either or both—so we can remember her together and celebrate the wonderful 95 years of life she had ❤️
