Menopause in hot weather can feel like a full-time job 🌞πŸ”₯

If you’re already dealing with hot flushes, night sweats, poor sleep, and feeling overwhelmed. This heatwave can really push the nervous system over the edge.

A few gentle ways to help your body stay cooler and calmer:

✨ Keep hydrated, little and often. Add cucumber, lemon, mint or electrolytes if plain water feels boring.

✨ Wear loose, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. Your body wants airflow right now, not tight clothing.

✨ Cool the pulse points, wrists, neck, ankles, behind the knees. A cool flannel can work wonders during a flush.

✨ Avoid too much caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods if you notice they trigger overheating.

✨ Eat lighter meals where possible. Fresh salads, fruit, yoghurt, smoothies and cooling foods can help the body feel less sluggish.

✨ Slow the nervous system down. Stress and overwhelm can intensify hot flushes. Even 5 minutes of deep breathing, quiet time or sitting in the shade helps.

✨ Keep bedrooms cool at night, open windows, use fans, cooling sprays or even pop pillowcases in the fridge for a little relief.
