PRACTICAL MAGIC 2, ARE WE READY?

The wait is nearly over and I need to know who’s ready to step back into the world of the Owens sisters?

So, let’s have a little Practical Magic roll call,

Who’s going to see Practical Magic 2?
And are you going opening night, or waiting for a quieter showing?

If you had to identify yourself as an Owens family member, who would you be?
🌙 Sally – practical, thoughtful & a little guarded
🔥 Gillian – wild, free-spirited & follows her heart
🌿 Aunt Jet – wise, intuitive & quietly powerful
🌸 Aunt Frances – outspoken, funny & absolutely fabulous

Or are you one of the younger Owens witches?

And the really important question,
Who’s having chocolate cake for breakfast and drinking margaritas later?

Because if we’re doing Practical Magic properly,
MIDNIGHT MARGARITAS!

And finally,
What’s your favourite Practical Magic quote?
Drop it below, let’s see which Owens witch is hiding in this group.
Sisters. Magic. Cake. Margaritas. What more could a girl want? 😍

NEW MOON IN VIRGO

Tonight we enter the energy of the New Moon in Virgo, a time traditionally associated with fresh starts, reflection, organisation, wellbeing and making small changes that can have a bigger impact over time.

Virgo reminds us that we don't always need to completely reinvent our lives.

Sometimes it's the little things that need our attention.

Where could I simplify my life?
What habits are helping me and which ones are draining me?
Am I making enough time for myself?
What have I been putting off that would bring me a sense of relief?
Where could I choose consistency rather than perfection?

This New Moon is a lovely opportunity to pause and ask:

What do I need more of in my everyday life?
More rest?
More connection?
More boundaries?
More joy?
More time outdoors?
More time being you rather than everything to everyone else?

You don't have to change everything.

Choose one small thing.
One habit.
One boundary.
One decision.
One promise to yourself.

Because small changes, repeated consistently, can create a very different life.

So tonight, take a few quiet moments.
Put your phone down for a while.
Take a few deep breaths.

Then ask yourself:
What am I ready to begin?

And perhaps even more importantly,
What am I ready to stop carrying?

Happy New Moon in Virgo.

What are you choosing to bring into this new lunar cycle?

Remembering Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

8 September 2022, Four Years On
Four years have passed, yet for many, it still feels like yesterday.
Today we remember Queen Elizabeth II, a woman whose life was devoted to duty, service and the people she represented.
For over 70 years, she was a constant presence through generations of change, a familiar face during moments of celebration, uncertainty, sadness and joy.
She wasn't simply a Queen. For many people, she was the only monarch they had ever known. From childhood through to adulthood, she was part of the backdrop of our lives.
Whatever your feelings about the monarchy, there was something remarkable about the longevity of her service and the promise she made as a young woman to dedicate her life to others.
Four years on, we remember her words, her quiet sense of duty, her love of the countryside and animals, her famous little wave, and that unmistakable image of the Queen standing with her corgis.
70 years of service.
One extraordinary lifetime.
A legacy that will live on through generations.
Today, we simply pause and remember.
Rest peacefully, Your Majesty
1926 – 2022

Welcoming the ‘Ber’ Months

September opens the door,
October gathers golden light,
November calls us inward,
and December brings the magic of night.

Four moons, four months,
a time to release, reflect and renew.
To trust our intuition,
listen to our hearts,
and remember the woman we were always meant to be.

Let the leaves fall.
Let old stories go.
Light your candles, set your intentions
and make a little magic along the way.

Here’s to the magic of the ‘Ber’ months,
may they bring you closer to yourself.

🌕♓️ THE WOMAN YOU ARE BECOMING ♓️🌕

Tonight, look up at the Moon.

The Sturgeon Moon is reaching its fullest point in Pisces and this month it arrives alongside a deep partial lunar eclipse.

There is something rather beautiful about that.
Because eclipses are all about light and shadow.
And perhaps that's a little like life.
There are parts of ourselves we proudly show the world.
And there are parts we've tucked away.
The woman we used to be.
The things we've survived.
The choices we made because we had to.
The dreams we put on hold.
The people we became for everyone else.
And then, somewhere along the way, we wake up and realise.
I'm still here.

Pisces invites us to listen to our intuition.
To feel rather than constantly analyse.
To soften.
To dream again.

To stop trying to control every outcome and perhaps trust ourselves a little more.

And the Sturgeon Moon carries the symbolism of abundance and harvest.

So rather than asking, What more do I need?

Perhaps tonight we can ask:
What have I already grown?
What have I survived?
What have I learned?
What am I ready to leave behind?
And who am I becoming now?

Because sometimes the next chapter isn't about becoming a completely different woman.

It's about finally giving yourself permission to become the woman you've always been underneath everything life asked you to be.

The one who laughs more.
The one who says no without guilt.
The one who takes up space.
The one who makes new friends.
The one who has adventures.
The one who puts herself on the list.
The one who remembers that life isn't over because one chapter has ended.

Sometimes the best chapters begin when you finally realise it's your turn.

So tonight, as the Moon shines through the Earth's shadow, perhaps take a few quiet moments for yourself.

Light a candle.
Make a cup of tea.
Sit somewhere peaceful.
And ask yourself:

What am I ready to release?
What no longer belongs in my life?
What part of me have I forgotten?
What do I want the next chapter to feel like?

And then ask the most important question of all,
Who is the woman I am becoming?
You don't need to have the answer tonight.
Just listen.

Sometimes your intuition knows long before your head catches up.

🌕 Happy Sturgeon Moon 🌕

May this Full Moon remind you that you haven't missed your moment.

You are not too old.
You are not too late.
And you don't have to become someone else.
You simply get to come home to yourself.

Remembering Dolly

What a beautiful soul Dolly Parton was.

She captivated the world not only with her incredible music, but with her wisdom, kindness, humour and that wonderful ability to make people feel like they mattered.

The world feels a little less sparkly without her rhinestones.
A little less colourful without her positivity.
A little quieter without that unmistakable voice.

But what a legacy she leaves behind.

She reminded us to dream big, stay kind, work hard, laugh often and never be ashamed of who we are.

Dolly didn't just make music, she spread joy.

I think that is one of the most beautiful things anyone can leave behind.

Rest peacefully, Dolly.
Thank you for the music, the wisdom, the laughter and all those little sparkles of magic you gave to the world.

“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” Dolly Parton
