If Amy’s going to be using shockwave on you be sure to make sure she’s using her right hand and not her left for treatment.

Focused shock wave is more comfortable and effective for treating pathologies than radial. Live video of treating for lateral epicondylitis

Focused shockwave available in clinic from Thursday. Email [email protected] or DM to find out more information or book yourself in.

Focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy (fESWT) is a non-invasive treatment that delivers short, high-energy acoustic waves through the skin to a precisely targeted area of tendon, muscle, bone or other soft tissue. Unlike radial shockwave, the energy can be concentrated at a specific depth. Due to this it is generally more effective noticing a difference even after your first session and the delivery of energy is significantly more comfortable.

Common musculoskeletal conditions include:
Tendinopathies – Achilles, patellar, proximal hamstring and some elbow tendinopathies.
Plantar fasciopathy/plantar fasciitis – particularly persistent cases.
Calcific rotator-cuff tendinopathy – shockwaves can be used to target the calcification.
Greater trochanteric pain syndrome/gluteal tendinopathy.
Myofascial pain and some chronic muscle-related pain
