What You’re Looking At: A Treated Hair Follicle
This photo shows a hair follicle that’s been successfully treated and removed through electrolysis.
You can clearly see the hair shaft, root sheath, and bulb—evidence that the follicle was treated effectively at the base.

In electrolysis, we target the root of the hair with a tiny probe and apply a controlled current to destroy the growth center. When done correctly, the hair slides out without resistance, like you see here.

Follow these aftercare tips to keep your skin calm and healing beautifully after electrolysis.

✅️Keep the area clean
Gently cleanse with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water to avoid irritation.

✅️ Soothe the Skin
Apply your soothing aftercare products such as aloe vera gel or witch hazel to calm inflammation and support skin healing.

✅️DO avoid touching or picking
Let the skin heal naturally—touching can transfer bacteria and cause irritation.

✅️DO protect from the sun
Once redness subsides, apply SPF 30+ to the treated area. Avoid direct sunlight.

✅️DO stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water! Hydrated skin heals faster and looks healthier.

✅️DO follow your electrologist’s instructions
Every skin type is different. Stick to the personalised aftercare you were given for the best results.
