K-Tape can be a great option for providing gentle support to the thumb during everyday activities and sport. By offering light support without restricting movement, it may help improve comfort, increase confidence in movement, and remind you to avoid positions that aggravate symptoms. Best used as part of a comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation plan.

Brawny oedema is firm, persistent swelling that can develop after injury or surgery. It can limit movement, increase stiffness, and delay recovery if not treated early.

At our hand therapy clinics, we help manage brawny oedema using compression, manual oedema mobilisation, exercise, kinesiology taping, and Lymphatouch® to help reduce swelling, improve tissue mobility, and restore hand function.

The K-Tape "spider" technique can be used on scars and areas of adhesion to gently lift the skin, helping to improve tissue mobility and reduce tension. As part of a rehabilitation programme, it may support scar management and encourage smoother, more comfortable movement.
