Last week I got approached via Facebook by a reporter at the evening echo wanting to write an article about winning the Rochford District Council Business Award 2026.

At first I wasn’t sure if it was genuine but passed my number on and we had a short telephone interview on Tuesday this week. I was asked to supply a couple of photos and told that I should appear this week. So I popped to a local shop on Wednesday and saw my photo with a reason to buy the next days paper.

Thursday came around so I went for a walk with my eldest and popped into our local shop had a quick click through and saw the article, so of course I purchased it.

Came home and read the article and couldn’t believe I was full page article and it’s a lovely little read.

Thank you to everyone’s support over the years it really means the world to me.

As a member of the Association of Reflexologists I often receive emails, magazines and articles with updates of the industry and research into how it supports different people.

Things To Know About My Booking App

I use the Fresha booking app as my diary and also keep a paper version.

But don’t worry if you don’t like using booking apps you can still call, message or email me.

Here is a bit more information that would help you when making an appointment.

1. It’s the quickest way to see my availability. As it an online system as people book in my availability changes.

2. By entering your card details to confirm your appointment you are agreeing to my cancellation policy. No payment is taken at this point but if you cancel with less then 24 hours notice or don’t show up you will be charged 50%. It also means if you prefer I can take payment via the app.

3. You can prepay for your appointment through the app if you would prefer. So you could book on payday and know that when you visit later in the month it’s already paid.

4. You can amend or reschedule your appointment if you need to.

5. You can see the reviews from other clients before you make your decision to book.

6. Fresha sends you confirmation and reminder emails and text messages so that you don’t miss your appointment

7. You will be sent a basic consultation form to complete to save some time at your appointment and I may contact you before the appointment to ask further questions if needed. A full consultation will still be completed before your treatment.

I really hate to bring this up but over the last few years my small business has been impacted by no shows or late cancellations.

Don’t get me wrong I get emergencies happen and so does sickness but this is more for the no shows or the ones that cancel through the app with no explanation.

So here is a reminder of my cancellation policy….
50% of the treatment price will be charged if you either do not show for your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice.
On my booking app you have to enter your card details to confirm your appointment for this reason.

If you need to cancel with short notice please message me explaining the reason and then I can always override the cancellation policy especially if we reschedule.

Wellbeing Walk Tomorrow Wednesday Meet at 1:30pm at my house, parking available all welcome, doesn’t matter how fit you are or how fast you walk. Little ones and fur babies also welcome to join.

If you would prefer you can meet us on route at the library (approx. 1:35pm) or pooles lane (approx. 1:45pm)

Please be aware if it’s heavily raining I will not be going
