We are introducing a wider range of games to promote maintenance of fine motor skills, co-ordination and reaction speed!

This game put everyone to the test, trying to roll the ping pong balls into the cups - not as easy as it sounds and definitely one to test our concentration and steady hand!

💪🏻Keep Fit💪🏻

Poor Elly wasn’t well on Monday so we missed out on her Be Great Fitness be_greatfitness session, but Lifestyle’s Co-Ordinator Sonia stepped in to put the residents through their paces!

Sonia had a whole host of different exercises prepared with stretches and repetitive movements to work on our muscles and throwing and catching to keep coordination skills intact!

A great session had by all! It’s fantastic to see such a big group of residents wanting to take part in keeping themselves fit and active!

To close our event schedule for Care Home Open Week, we are holding a decades day to celebrate the roaring 20’s, and we are inviting you to join us!

Visitors are welcome to come along in the afternoon for music, garden games, cards, drinks and a 1920’s afternoon tea style picnic!

As part of our Care Home Open Week events we are inviting our friends, neighbours and community in for a ln evening of bingo on Tuesday 16th June!

A look back at last Sunday; after our visit from chocolate Labrador Benji and his owner Emma and a live streamed church service, residents enjoyed a Sherry before a delicious Sunday roast, while catching up with friends, followed by an afternoon sing-a-long or an afternoon film, depending what takes your fancy!

Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday to us!

🩷👶🏼Baby Shower👶🏼🩷

We were excited to welcome back Sapphire, our lifestyles co-ordinator who is on maternity leave, for a baby shower yesterday!

Accompanied by her partner and our night carer Liam and their older daughter and big sister to be, the family came along to celebrate the upcoming birth with the residents and team!

We played baby bingo, pin the dummy on the baby, offered our words of wisdom and guessed the birth date and weight of the baby!

The residents presented Sapphire with gifts from the team, while we enjoyed some delicious cupcakes courtesy of the catering team!

The residents were so pleased to see Sapphire to wish her well before the birth and said she was positively glowing! We are all looking forward to meeting the baby, who hopefully, for Sapphire’s sake, won’t be 22lb like one prediction! 😳

It’s events like these that really do some up the family atmosphere at Holbeach Meadows! 💖

As part of Care Home Open week events we are welcoming people from our local community who are living with dementia, along with their carers, to join us for a film in our beautiful, air conditioned cinema room.

This month our ‘Silver Screen Cinema’ event will feature ‘The Full Monty!’
