After an initial assessment, a package of support and relevant care/activities will be put in place. Someone once told me, "Go and do what you're passionate about." It was very good advice. . When we were caring for them throughout the many stages of dementia, I learned the importance of correct Therapeutic Care and the difference that it could make. Therapeutic Care, when it is tailored to the needs and interests of the person, can make significant difference in behaviour and overall wellbeing. I saw this first hand and I became very passionate about ensuring that the quality of life of my parents could be as good as possible for as long as possible.
