🌧️ A wet one today, but sometimes the weather works in your favour! 🌱💪

It certainly wasn’t the driest of mornings, but the rain was actually very welcome. With the ground nice and soft, it made tackling those stubborn weeds and deep-rooted plants a little easier. 🌿🌧️

There’s something satisfying about finally getting those roots out properly rather than fighting against rock-hard soil!

Despite the weather, I made some really good progress today and cleared a fair amount. There’s still plenty more to tackle, but gardens like this are all about taking it one section at a time — and seeing the difference after each visit makes all the hard work worthwhile. 💪🌱✨

And, as always, I wasn’t working completely alone! 🐦❤️ My little robin was back keeping a very close eye on proceedings, happily hopping around the freshly turned soil and finding plenty of tasty treats along the way. I even had a little newt make an appearance as I was clearing — a lovely reminder that underneath all the weeds and overgrowth, there’s a whole little world of wildlife going about its business. 🦎🐦🌿

The weather has been pretty remarkable too. This morning it absolutely poured, leaving me soaked through, yet by this afternoon the clouds had cleared and we were treated to bright sunshine and some lovely warmth! ☀️🌧️

That’s gardening for you — you never quite know what the day is going to throw at you! 😂🌦️
Another productive day, another step closer to getting this garden back to where it needs to be. 🌿💪❤️

🔨 Back in the workshop today — and trying something completely different! 🚐🪚

Today was a bit of a first for me… I took on a job I’ve never actually done before — building and fitting bed frames into campervans! 😁

Two different vans, two bespoke bed frames, and plenty of measuring, cutting, checking, adjusting and making sure everything was square, level and properly lined up. 📏🔨

I also got the chance to use some new tools today, which made a huge difference and helped achieve a really clean, professional finish. It’s always satisfying when you start with a pile of timber and gradually watch it turn into something practical and solid. 👌🪵

I have to admit, taking on something completely new always comes with a little bit of doubt — “Am I actually going to be able to pull this off?” 😂

But seeing the finished frameworks fitted into both vans, I’m genuinely really pleased with how they turned out. They’re stronger, cleaner and better than I honestly thought I’d be able to achieve on my first attempt! 💪😎

I can’t wait to see both vans once the full renovations are finished and see how these bed frames become part of the finished builds. 🚐✨

Next week it’s back to what I know — building the kitchens! 🪚🔧

And maybe, just maybe… that A in Woodwork at school actually did pay off after all these years!* 😂😂

There’s something I really enjoy about learning new skills and stepping outside my comfort zone. You never stop learning, and sometimes the jobs you’ve never done before turn out to be the most rewarding. 🙌

Another new skill added to the toolbox! 🔨🪵🚐

💦 WHAT A TRANSFORMATION! 💦

Busy day today, but there’s always something strangely therapeutic about getting the power washer out! 😍 There’s nothing quite like seeing years of dirt, moss and grime slowly disappear and watching an area come back to life right in front of you. 💪✨

Today’s challenge was this courtyard, which sadly hadn’t had a proper clean for many years. The amount of ground-in moss and built-up grime meant this was definitely not a quick job! 🧽💦

It took a lot longer than expected, and after plenty of hard work I managed to get around three-quarters of the courtyard transformed.

It’s amazing just how much difference a good deep clean can make. What looked tired, dirty and neglected is already starting to look fresh, brighter and so much more inviting. 🌿✨

And as for the rain… well, I was already soaked from the power washer, so I figured I might as well carry on! 😂🌧️

There’s still a little more to finish, but today was definitely a job well started — and I can’t wait to get the final section done and see the whole courtyard looking its best again.💦💪

🌿☀️ BACK TO IT! ☀️🌿

What a great feeling to be back at it after a week off — and even better to have the sunshine out! 😎☀️

Today was all about tackling one of those jobs that never seems to stay away for long… weeds and brambles! 😂🌿

It’s amazing what a difference just one week can make. While I was away enjoying a bit of downtime, the weeds clearly decided to have a party — they seemed to have tripled in size, and those roots were certainly putting up a fight! 💪🌱

I started by tackling the main border, working through it section by section and clearing out all the unwanted growth. Once that was under control, I moved on to the smaller areas around the garden, making sure everything was thoroughly cleared and left looking neat and tidy.

It was definitely a bit of a battle in places, especially getting some of those stubborn roots out, but with a bit of hard work, plenty of digging and a lot of determination, we got there! 💪🧤

There’s nothing quite like that feeling of standing back at the end of the job and seeing the difference. 🌿✨ From overgrown and untidy to clean, clear and ready to enjoy again.

A brilliant first day back, plenty achieved, and another garden looking its best! 🌱👌

Now… let’s just hope those weeds don’t decide to grow another three times bigger overnight! 😂🌿

🌿☀️ HOLIDAY MODE: OFFICIALLY ON! 🍹🎉 ☀️🌿

Well, that’s it… holiday has officially begun! 🙌🎉 After finishing this job this morning, I could finally down tools and say I’M OFF! 😎🌴

But before I could think about relaxing, there was one last job to tackle! 💪🌳

After completing my night shift, it was straight into cutting this seriously overgrown hedge back. 🌿✂️ It had been growing right out over the pavement and was definitely in need of some TLC! 😅

We’d been waiting patiently for all the birds to finish nesting and move on, so today was finally the day to get stuck in. 🐦❤️ And once I started… well, you know me — I got carried away! 😂💪
Front, back, inside and out — it all needed attention, and it turned into a proper busy morning! 🌳✂️🧹

I was so focused on cracking on that I completely forgot to take photos of the inside of the garden 🤦‍♂️😂 But trust me, it was every bit as overgrown as the front! 🌿🌿🌿

There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking a hedge that has completely taken over and bringing it back under control. From wild and unruly to tidy, manageable and looking the part again! 👌✨

And of course, doing it with the sunshine out made it even better! ☀️😎🌳

Then came the most important part of the morning… COFFEE! ☕😂 And a rather lovely bacon sandwich went down an absolute treat! 🥓🥪☕ After a night shift and a hedge like that, I definitely think it was well deserved! 😂🙌

So that’s the final job done, tools packed away and 9 days of holiday officially begins! 🎉🍹🌞

Time to recharge, spend some quality time with the family, enjoy a little downtime and hopefully do absolutely NOTHING for at least five minutes! 😂❤️

Woodland walkway

🌿☀️🌧️ Another busy day in the garden! 🌧️☀️🌿

What an amazing, busy day today! Once again, we had a little bit of everything — glorious sunshine one minute and a refreshing splash of rain the next! 🌦️😂 But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Today was all about bringing the woodland garden together and making real progress with the different areas. 🌳🌿

🔥 I finished off the fire circle, getting it all looking neat and ready to enjoy.

🪨 I then carried on with the path I started a couple of weeks ago, beginning to add a lovely stone border. It’s amazing how much of a difference those little finishing touches make!

The other paths also had some much-needed attention — plenty of deweeding, clearing and tidying, followed by replenishing the bark to freshen everything up and bring the paths back to life. It’s starting to feel like a proper woodland walk now! 🌲🚶‍♂️

Then it was up to the top border, where there was plenty to tackle. I cleared out everything that didn’t belong, uncovered the shrubs that were worth keeping and gave everything a good cut back and tidy. ✂️🌿

It’s amazing what you can uncover when you start peeling back the layers! 😍

And now, with the extension of the path, you can really start to see the vision coming together. 🌳🪵🪨 What was once a collection of overgrown and unused areas is slowly becoming a beautiful woodland-style garden with paths, different spaces and plenty of character.

There’s still so much more to do — more areas to uncover, more planting and tidying, and plenty of little projects still waiting to happen. But the transformation is definitely starting to show, and I’m really pleased with the progress so far! 💪🌿

🌦️ Rain, sunshine,& another brilliant day outdoors! 🌿🌳

Well, the rain certainly came and went today! 🌧️☀️ But honestly, that little bit of rain was actually quite refreshing. After finishing the night shift, I managed to grab about an hour in bed before it was time to get back up and head out for a full day of work. 😴➡️🌿

Today's jobs two clients, two gardens, and two equally enjoyable jobs. 💚

🌳 First garden of the day:
I got stuck into cutting back the weeds and giving the trees another good trim and shape. There’s something so satisfying about taking an overgrown area and slowly bringing everything back into shape, making the trees look tidy, defined and really allowing them to stand out. ✂️🌳

As always, time absolutely disappeared! 😂 There’s still plenty more to do next time, but some really good progress was made today and that’s what it’s all about — little by little, creating a garden that looks loved and cared for. 💪🌱

🌱 This afternoon:
A smaller job, but one I’ll be back at tomorrow, so there’s plenty more to come! Today I made a great start clearing the area and preparing it ready for topsoil. The plan is to level everything out and eventually get it grassed so it blends beautifully with the rest of the lawn. 🌾🚜

And just like that, the rain disappeared and the sunshine came back! ☀️ What a lovely way to finish the day.

There’s something really special about being outdoors and experiencing what feels like two seasons in one day. 🌧️☀️ Breathing in the fresh air, working with nature, watching the garden slowly transform and seeing the wildlife going about its business… it really does make me feel incredibly blessed. 🐦🦋🌿

I genuinely love what I do. ❤️

It’s hard work, sometimes exhausting, sometimes muddy, sometimes wet 😂 — but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Another day, another couple of gardens made a little better. 🌱💚
