We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand new 4-bed children's residential service in Southampton, supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that can challenge. You'll be backed by an in-house Positive Behavioural Support team, helping you build a genuinely therapeutic, child-centred home.

If you hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children's Residential Care (or equivalent), have current Registered Manager experience with a track record of 'good' at inspection, and at least 2 years' experience in both children's residential care and learning disability settings, we'd love to hear from you.

💰 £48,000 to £55,000 per year, plus a £250 joining bonus

Preparing Our Teams. Supporting People Safely.

Great care means being prepared for every situation, including those moments when someone may need additional support.

Our Pathway Healthcare colleagues recently took part in restraint training, learning and practising how to respond safely and confidently when situations become challenging.

But this training is about much more than physical techniques.
👉 It is about understanding the person behind the situation.
👉 Knowing how to stay calm.
👉 Knowing how to keep everyone safe.

Our aim is always to reduce the need for restrictive practices and support people to live with choice, independence and respect.

We are proud of our teams for continuing to learn, develop their skills and prepare to provide the best possible support.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

This year, Mental Health UK is encouraging us to think about the importance of being heard, alongside the global theme of real voices, real change.

Sometimes, support starts with something simple: taking the time to listen.
Being genuinely heard can help someone feel understood, valued and connected. It matters at home, with friends, in our communities and in the workplace.

👁️ World Sight Day. Love Your Eyes

This year’s Love Your Eyes campaign from the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) focuses on stories.

For many of the people we support at Pathway Healthcare, sight is an important part of how they communicate, experience their surroundings, enjoy activities and maintain their independence.

For people with visual or sensory impairments, understanding their individual needs and supporting them to make the most of their environment is an important part of personalised care. That’s why regular eye checks, noticing changes early and making appropriate adjustments can make a real difference to someone’s comfort, confidence and quality of life.

Today, take a moment to look after your eyes. Love Your Eyes. Take care of your sight, notice the changes and encourage those around you to do the same.
