This is an upcoming local event that some of you may find interesting.

Bug Expo Horsham will feature nearly 50 exhibitor tables showcasing a wide range of invertebrate-related displays, including:

🕷️ Spiders & scorpions
🪲 Beetles, mantis & other invertebrates
🪱 Isopods
🏡 Habitat & enclosure set-ups
🎨 Artwork
🖨️ 3D-printed accessories & bug-themed creations

The event is suitable for both newcomers and experienced keepers, with opportunities to learn more about invertebrates and browse specialist products.

And that’s it for 2025!!
We are now closed until Monday 5th Jan.
We want to thank everyone who has been to Altered Wings this year, whether it’s to get a tattoo, a piercing or just to support a friend. It’s been an amazing year and we really appreciate each and every one of you.
We’d like to congratulate on becoming a mum to a beautiful baby girl, we look forward to welcoming her back at some point later on next year. has been with us for over a year now and we genuinely couldn’t imagine the studio without her! And might actually have broken the world record for most tattoos completed in a year!!
2026 will be a big year for us! We’ll be celebrating our 10 year anniversary, welcoming to the team and will be tattooing 4 days a week from January.
Merry Christmas everyone and a happy new year!!

I will be opening my books for 2025 on Friday 15th November at 9am.
I’m going to try to do it a bit differently for next year and avoid the whole “opening and closing” thing… They’ll be open from the 15th onwards so there’s no mad rush to get in before they close.
The easiest way to get booked in will be to message the shops page (Altered Wings) or if you’re a returning customer then just get in touch however we normally arrange your appointments.
Please do not message over multiple platforms as this will ultimately slow down the process and please do not message before the 15th.

Altered Wings is now 8 years old! We want to thank all our customers past and present for trusting us with your skin. The shop wouldn’t be where it is today without you guys. I feel very lucky to have such a great bunch of customers who always bring great ideas and good energy to the shop, providing us with such an awesome atmosphere to work in every day! To mark the occasion I wanted to share a video that we’ve had made by the very talented Mike Critchley that depicts how much we’ve grown since our humble beginnings 8 years ago.

Tomorrow is Aaron’s last day at work this year! He’s off on holiday before Christmas.
Lottie and Jem will be working until Thursday 21st and the shop will still be open on Friday 22nd so that’s your last chance to pick up some christmas gift vouchers!!
