Changing career, going back to study and eventually starting my own business did not happen at the “right” time.
When I began, my girls were only one. I was, and still am, solo parenting twins while healing and working incredibly hard to rebuild my life and create something for our future. I had no reliable source of income and no pot of savings to fall back on.
I wasn’t learning just one new thing either. I had chosen to train in multiple new skills, each requiring study, practice, case studies and confidence.
I could have waited until the girls were older, until I felt fully healed, until money felt more secure or until I had more time. But if I had waited for every part of life to fall perfectly into place, I might still be waiting.
So I took the opportunity. I studied, practised, qualified, changed career and built something of my own. And I still haven’t stopped learning. I continue to study, train and develop because I want to keep growing and give the very best of myself to the work I now do.
It has taken courage, sacrifice, determination and a huge leap of faith. I didn’t begin with financial security or a perfectly mapped out plan. I began with a vision, a strong sense that this was what I was meant to do and the courage to believe in myself.
Everything I am building now began when I decided to stop waiting. Not because I wasn’t afraid, but because I knew I had to take the risk and try.
You may never feel completely ready. The timing may never be perfect. Sometimes you have to take the opportunity, trust yourself and begin anyway. 💜🌈✨
