If youโ€™ve ๐ก๐š๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ, ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ ?

- rounding/puffiness above the lip

- โ€˜ledge/shelfโ€™ effect above the lip

- palpable โ€˜thicknessโ€™ of the tissues above the lip border

If so, you might also notice:

- the lip border lacks definition

- the pink part of the upper lip is more hidden on the outer corners

The mouth is a highly dynamic area; we move it all day long. This makes filler displacement more likely than in other areas of the face.

If youโ€™re troubled by the appearance of displaced filler you can have it dissolved.

Trying to fall asleep when you are stressed is something we can all relate to and definitely triggers a negative feedback loop.
The less you sleep over the long term the more your cortisol elevates and this in turn makes it harder to fall asleep.

Breaking the loop with strategies that regulate your nervous system may help here.

Our skin behaves differently on a night to during the day:
- cell division peaks at midnight
- DNA repair is greatest in the early hours
- any skin care products youโ€™ve applied have better absorption at night (due to body temperature, vasodilation and increased skin permeability)

A dark environment stimulates the release of melatonin, the hormone in your body that regulates your sleep wake cycle.

Anti-wrinkle treatment for forehead lines, particularly where there is some degree of upper eyelid hooding, is a balancing act.

My treatment approach is to err on the side of caution, with a few โ€˜perfection injectionsโ€™ two weeks after the main treatment (if needed).
Rather this, than giving someone a brow drop => exacerbating their eyelid hooding and making them look tired.

Most people know Botulinum Toxin treatments are used to reduce lines and wrinkles.
What is less known is how their skilful application can make a face look more youthful, relaxed and lifted by ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐ฒ๐ง๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ๐š๐œ๐ž.

One example, if you have ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐๐ž๐ ๐ž๐ฒ๐ž๐ฌ and strong frown muscles you can create a reduction in upper eyelid hooding by taking the frown muscles out of the equation.

Another example, if your ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง๐ฌ/turns downwards - I can reduce this by relaxing muscles that pull on the mouth corners.
