Feeling unwell with a common condition?

Huncoat Pharmacy provides NHS Pharmacy First consultations for:

-Sore throat
-Earache
-Sinus infection
-Infected insect bites
-Impetigo
-Shingles
-Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women

Our pharmacists can assess you, recommend treatment, and where appropriate supply medicines on the NHS on the same day.

The government is looking to extend this service to cover the following conditions and may include bacterial conjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis, oral thrush, skin infections and respiratory tract infections, so watch the space!

📢 Backup Delivery Driver Needed – Huncoat Pharmacy 🚗💊

We are looking for a reliable backup delivery driver to provide cover this Thursday, Friday and next Monday.

⏰ The role is usually around 2 hours per day, delivering medicines locally. You will need to use your own car, and payment will be made for your time and mileage. 🚗
Ideally, we are looking for someone local who is known and trusted within the community. 🤝

🛡️ Huncoat Pharmacy is now offering the Meningitis B vaccine

Meningitis B is a serious infection that can lead to meningitis and sepsis, so getting protected before autumn is important for eligible young people.

✅ Eligible patients include:

Young people born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 (Year 13 age group), whether or not they are going on to further education.

Young people born on or after 21 July 2001 who are starting undergraduate university for the first time in autumn 2026.

Young people born on or after 21 July 2001 who are starting further education for the first time in autumn 2026 and will be living in further education accommodation.

This also includes eligible international students and those from the UK devolved nations and Crown Dependencies.

💉 Two doses are needed, at least 4 weeks apart. The first dose must be given by 31 December 2026, with second doses available until 31 March 2027.
