Momentum is building......
Picture visiting your local GP and, rather than leaving with a prescription for medication, being encouraged to spend time taking a slow, mindful walk through the woods. What once seemed like an ambitious idea is now becoming a reality.

In Scotland's Cairngorms, healthcare professionals have introduced "Nature Prescriptions" as part of patient care. The results have been encouraging, with 74% of participants reporting noticeable improvements in both their mental and physical wellbeing. These findings demonstrate that spending time in nature can be a valuable and evidence-based approach to supporting health alongside traditional medical care.

Viva la revolución !!!

“I must go down to the trees again” 🤓. Taking time out to practice (not perfect!) forest bathing is a discipline. I am undisciplined and need to build spending time in nature as part of my routine. I wonder why I often postpone doing things i know are good for me, and when i do “the things” i feel so much better 🤓🤣♥️
That is why setting aside fixed times for Forest Bathing work. I will be scheduling some further sessions in the beautiful woods in Hardwick village, near Cambridge in the near future. Make time for yourself and your wellbeing and join me! Coming soon!

Thank you to everyone who is following my new page devoted to forest bathing (no swimsuit required - and no, it’s not skinny dipping either!)

Getting out of your head (in a healthy way!) and into an embodied state via forest bathing/therapy allows us to connect with nature in a non-cerebral way.

My Forest Bathing business is deliberately not going to be an orchestrated and perfect enterprise. Embracing progress over perfection and the concept of wabi sabi (the acceptance of transience and imperfection), and letting things develop with my offerings in a natural and organic way. Imperfect beauty rules! Embrace the flaws! 😘

Join me on the journey why don’t cha? 💚

*What on earth (no pun intended) IS Forest Therapy or Forest Bathing?*

Humans are increasingly becoming an indoor species. We spend 90 per cent of our life indoors. From mindful strolls in your local park to listening to the wind, from watching the sunset to walking barefoot in the grass, there are life-improving advantages of spending time around trees, for a healthier and happier you.
“For every walk in nature, we receive far more than we seek” – John Muir.

Forest Bathing is a doorway to a new world of healing. It is the practice of getting into an embodied state, using as many of our 9 senses as possible, and getting out of a cognitive state. It is slow, simple and sensory,

Forest Therapy has its origins in the practice of “shinrin-yoku” in Japan. The director of the Japanese Forest Agency had an idea to develop a unique brand identity linking forest visits to health and wellness.
Coming to nature for healing has been a tradition in many, if not most, cultures and the key factor is that the healing comes from nature, not from the practitioner.

I am not a therapist or a physician but rather I am a guide, or facilitator and the trees do the healing! You are invited to allow yourself the time and space to reap the benefits that nature can bring to us all in many different ways.
