If you're planning a birthday, anniversary, hen do or another special occasion, a few small extras can make the day feel a bit more personal.

You can add things like cupcake treats, cheese and crackers, pizza, finger buffets, balloons or flowers before your visit. Everything is ordered in advance, so it's ready when you arrive. You're also welcome to bring your own drinks, which makes it easy to celebrate your way.

Some people book once and enjoy it. Others come back again and again.

We have guests who visit regularly, and some who book every month. A lot of them tell us it's the one thing they do purely for themselves. The nice thing is that each visit can feel a bit different. You might try a different session length, spend more time in certain areas of the spa, add treatments, or include a few extras. But the reason people return is usually simple. They know they'll get time to switch off and properly relax.

🌟 WE’RE FINALISTS! 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Sandpiper Spa has been named a finalist in TWO categories in the Good Spa Guide Awards;
Best Spa in the East Midlands & East and Best Day Spa (Boutique)! 🥂

For us, simply reaching the finals feels like an incredible achievement.

Sandpiper is very different from many spas. We don’t welcome hundreds of guests through our doors every day, sometimes we may have just two. Every session is completely private, and we’ve deliberately kept Sandpiper small and personal because that’s at the heart of what we do.
So to see our little independent spa sitting alongside some of the wonderful spas in these national awards makes us incredibly proud. ❤️

The winners are decided by public vote and, as such a small spa, we know we’re rather outnumbered when it comes to voting power! But honestly, being chosen as a finalist in two categories already feels like a win to us.

People are often surprised when they find out we're only 25 minutes from Huntingdon station.

Sandpiper Spa is tucked away in Somersham, which is part of what makes it feel like an escape. You're not walking into a busy town centre or high street. You're arriving somewhere private where you can switch off for a few hours and enjoy exclusive use of the whole spa. Some guests travel from further afield because private spa hire like this is hard to find.

A longer spa session gives you time to settle in and enjoy the day without watching the clock.

Our 6, 7 and 8 hour sessions include a finger buffet lunch or tea, and you can bring your own drinks, snacks or alcohol if you'd like to. 5% discount if you prefer to bring your own lunch.

Swim, use the thermal spa, relax in the lounge, spend time in the garden, add treatments if you want, and just take things at your own pace.

If you've ever been to a busy spa or pool, you'll probably know the feeling. You find a lounger, go for a swim, and then spend half the time wondering if your spot will still be there when you get back.

At Sandpiper, every lounger, sofa, waterbed and seat is yours for the whole session because you have exclusive use of the entire spa. You can move between the pool, thermal spa, garden and lounge as much as you like without thinking about where you're going to sit next. It sounds like a small thing, but it's something guests mention again and again.

At Sandpiper Spa, every booking includes private hire of the whole spa, so it's just the two of you enjoying the pool, whirlpool bath, thermal spa, garden and lounge in your own space. You can even set the music and lighting to suit you. If you'd like treatments as part of your visit, two therapists can provide them side by side.

☀️ Self Care Sunday ☀️

With another hot day ahead, it can be tempting to stay indoors. But if you can, find a quiet, shaded spot and spend a little time in nature.

You don’t need to hike for miles or achieve anything. Simply sit beneath a tree, listen to the birds, notice the patterns of light and shadow, and let yourself slow down for a while.

Nature has a wonderful way of helping us breathe a little deeper and think a little less.

If you do head outside today, remember to take plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and seek out the shade during the hottest part of the day.

Sometimes the best self care isn’t adding something to your day. It’s allowing yourself to be still long enough to remember what really matters.
