We are all aware about the brain-body link in regards to stress and anxiety. If you struggle with a stressful job or you’re in a period of consistent anxiety then try altering little things in your diet as it may help your recovery. Natural remedies are often overlooked by pharmacological options, see if this makes a difference first before reaching for the pills.

Good Morning,

I hope that this post finds you in good spirits now that the days are getting longer and nature seems to be waking from the winter slumber.

I find that cognitive dissonance is something that affects our thoughts, feelings and choices on a daily basis to a greater or lesser degree. Telling someone you care about that they’re avoiding the correct rational answer can be tempestuous to relationships and stressful. But is apathy the answer? How can learning from our experiences and making better choices not be beneficial to our emotional health?

Morning Everyone,

I really hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter.

The quote below is very pertinent to the way we assign importance to our daily lives. It seems to be en vogue that the time we devote to people in our lives may be rushed, pressured and limited. I’m not suggesting that you to assign blame to our busy lives or the concurrent nature with which we must juggle hundreds of different things at once....but what I am asking you is to be more MINDFUL.

Take the time to kiss your partner goodbye before going to work.

Ensure that you devote that last bit of energy to playing silly games with your children before bed.

Phone your friends and loved ones at every available opportunity (& create the time from which to this)

It’s the little gestures in life that can produce the best outcome.

Practicing mindfulness is a great way to take stock of a situation or a feeling and view it from a perspective that will give you more clarity. Our minds often skew and stretch what we are seeing by editing, distorting and deleting valuable pieces of information.

Take a mindful SNACK like the picture below suggest and it may alter the outcome of a challenging though or feeling.
