When you lose someone you love, you’re not just grieving a person….you’re grieving routines, memories, future plans, identity & version of life that existed with them & if you’re struggling, please know this…you are not grieving “wrong.”

There is no correct way to grieve.
Some days you may cry, Other days you may laugh.
You may feel numb, angry, peaceful, guilty, relieved or completely lost…sometimes all in the same day!

A few things that can gently support you through grief;

🪽Let yourself feel it.
You don’t have to be strong every day. Give emotions somewhere to go rather than judging them.

🪽Keep talking about them.
Say their name. Tell stories. Look at photographs. Remembering someone doesn’t keep you stuck..it can help you maintain a healthy connection with the love you shared.

🪽Create a ritual.
Light a candle, visit a meaningful place, write them a letter, listen to their favourite song or mark important dates in a way that feels meaningful to you.

🪽Take care of your body.
Grief is exhausting. Eat when you can, drink water, rest, move your body gently & try to maintain some structure in your day.

🪽Let people support you.
You don’t have to explain everything. Sometimes simply saying, “I don’t need advice, I just need someone to sit with me,” is enough.

🪽Give yourself permission to experience joy.
Laughing, going out, celebrating or having a good day does not mean you loved them any less. You are allowed to keep living 🫶.

🪽Don’t force yourself to “move on.”
Perhaps the goal isn’t to leave them behind. It’s learning how to move forward while carrying the love, memories, & meaning they left with you.

If your grief feels unbearable, you’re unable to function for an extended period or you feel unsafe with yourself, please reach out to a mental health professional, grief counsellor or crisis service….You do not have to carry this alone 💔.

Maybe grief isn’t something we overcome.
Maybe it’s something we slowly learn to make space for whilst allowing ourselves to be reborn into a life that looks different, but can still hold love.

Save & share this for someone who needs it. 🤍

Sometimes the person who inspires you the most has absolutely no idea that they’re doing it. 🤍

This woman is one of those people 🫶.

She is strong.
Resilient.
Courageous….

She keeps going, even when her mind tells her she isn’t good enough, isn’t doing enough or should be further ahead….

Thats the thing about the mind….it can be incredibly powerful (but that doesn’t mean everything it tells us is true 🫣).

Our thoughts, worries, doubts & beliefs can become so familiar that we start accepting them as facts.
We can create stories about ourselves, repeat them often enough & eventually forget that they were only ever stories.

This is something I see so often in my work as a therapist.

People come to me believing:
✨ “I’m just an anxious person.”
✨ “I’ll always feel like this.”
✨ “I’m not confident.”
✨ “Something is wrong with me.”
✨ “I can’t change.”

But what if those thoughts aren’t who you are… but patterns your mind has learned?

Therapy can help you step back from those patterns, understand where they’ve come from & begin to create new ways of thinking, feeling & responding.

And sometimes, you need someone else to see the strength in you before you’re able to see it in yourself.

You are often so much more capable, resilient & inspiring than the voice in your head would have you believe.

Therapy isn’t about pretending the worries aren’t there…..It’s about learning that they don’t have to be in control.

If your mind has been holding you back with worry, self-doubt or limiting beliefs, you don’t have to stay stuck there.

Change is possible & sometimes, it starts with simply being willing to see yourself differently ✨😉.

I’ve taken a little bit of a back seat when it comes to advertising our sound healings over the summer…as the summer months have been so kind to us ☀️✨

But as autumn comes back into play, I’m feeling ready to welcome you back for some beautiful, grounding sound healing sessions 🍂

The darker, cooler months can be a wonderful time to slow down, turn inward & give ourselves a little more space to rest & reset (& the best bit about the darker nights is we can come in our pjs with no outsiders judging 🤭🤭).

Sound healing can help to calm the nervous system, ease stress & tension, encourage deep relaxation & create a peaceful moment of stillness when life can feel a little heavier.

Our first autumn sound healing will be on Thursday 10th September 🌙✨

If you feel like you could use some time to pause, breathe, relax & reconnect, get in touch to secure your space.

I’d love to welcome you back for some autumnal sound healing magic 🤍

Here is part two of this weeks 60 seconds of therapy & it’s about being on the receiving end of someone’s aggressive behaviour.

You can understand someone’s anger without accepting their aggression!

Being on the receiving end of someone’s anger can be incredibly draining (especially when it’s someone you love).

A partner.
A son or daughter.
A parent.
A family member.

You may find yourself walking on eggshells, constantly thinking about what you can say or do to prevent their next outburst.
But remember this!…..their emotions are theirs to manage!

Your job isn’t to absorb the shouting, insults, intimidation or aggression in order to keep the peace.

A boundary might sound like:
“I’m willing to talk about this, but I won’t continue the conversation while you’re shouting at me or speaking to me aggressively. We can talk when we’re both calm.”

And then…(this is the most important part!)….follow through.

End the conversation.
Leave the room.
Create distance.
Come back when it is safe & calm to do so.

A boundary isn’t about controlling the other person.
It’s about deciding what you will & won’t participate in.

You can love someone.
You can understand where their anger comes from.
You can have compassion for what they’re going through.

And you can still say:
“You don’t get to take your anger out on me.”

If you feel frightened or unsafe, this goes beyond a communication issue….prioritise your safety & seek appropriate support.

24/08/2026

This weeks 60 seconds is in two parts & all about aggression & anger…
This one is is for those who struggle with anger & aggression ….

Your anger is of course valid but your aggression is still your responsibility.

Sometimes anger is the emotion we can feel most easily, while underneath it there may be hurt, fear, rejection, shame, frustration or feeling completely out of control.
When we don’t know how to process those emotions, they can come out sideways…through things like shouting, blaming, intimidation, harsh words or taking our feelings out on the people closest to us.

But understanding why you become aggressive isn’t about excusing it. It’s about giving you the opportunity to change it.

Notice your warning signs.
Pause before you react.
Step away when you need to.

Come back to the conversation when you’re regulated & most importantly if this is a pattern you struggle to break, get support!

You are allowed to feel angry but you don’t have to let your anger decide how you treat other people. 🤍

Anger is an emotion.
Aggression is a behaviour & behaviours can change 👌.

Part 2 will be shared tomorrow for those who are at the receiving end of someone’s aggression 😉

Last night a beautiful circle of women sat in a space where we could soften, surrender & simply just be ✨.

This Kambo ceremony was something truly special….

We held each other.
We laughed.
Some cried (from the Sananga…if you know you know 👀🤭☄️)

Through it all, I know everyone felt safe enough to go deeper into vulnerability, into release & into their powerful space of fully letting go🐸🌿

Kambo is traditionally used as a cleansing & purifying practice & many people seek it for the sense of emotional release, clarity, resilience & deep connection they experience through ceremony (& it never fails us!)

But beyond the medicine, there was something even more powerful in that room last night…..
Every woman who attended is a true warrior 💪🥰.

Each one is courageously working on something deeper within her healing journey.
Each woman had an inspirational story to share & each brought her own strength, wisdom & vulnerability into the circle.

There is something incredibly powerful about women coming together without judgement….being witnessed, being held & knowing that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

I hear from so many people who say they would love to experience Kambo but feel nervous about being sick & there are ways I cater for that….My ceremonies are approached gently & progressively, with the experience adapted to each individual & i layer doses & work with different amounts tailored specifically for each person.

The intention is never to push you beyond what feels right for you…it’s about creating a safe space where you can explore, surrender & connect with yourself at your own pace. ✨

Our next group Kambo ceremony is happening in October 🌙

These intimate circles tend to sell out, so if you feel called to be part of something deep, powerful & held alongside other like minded warriors, get in touch to claim your place.

To every one who shows up to healing …
🫶I see you.
🫶I honour you.
🫶I’m proud of you.

Here’s to the warriors, the healers & those choosing to go deeper. 🐸✨

A very rare space has come available for Friday 21st Kambo Evening 🐸✨

This is an intimate woman’s ceremony for 7 souls who feel the call…it’s intentionally kept small to ensure everyone feels fully supported, held & able to have a beautiful process.

Hapè & Sananga will also be served so if you don’t feel called to go deep with Kambo but would like to explore those other medicines & sit in a space to surrender to peace & calmness then get in touch & we can discuss an approach that feels suited for you.

Look forward to seeing those who are booked on & ready to see what comes up in your special ceremony

GCSE results are a BIG moment!
But they are not a measure of your child’s worth!

I’ve been supporting many students through the stress, pressure & anxiety that can come with GCSEs.

I’ve seen first hand how much worry young people can carry…the fear of disappointing their parents, comparing themselves to friends, worrying about their future or feeling that one set of results somehow determines what happens next 🥹.

So, if you’re a parent supporting a young person through results day, here are a few things that can really help:

✨ Listen before you problem solve✨
Ask how they’re feeling & give them space to talk without immediately trying to make things better.

✨ Watch your language✨
Instead of focusing on the grades, try: “I’m proud of you for getting through such a stressful time.”
Remind them that their worth has never been dependent on their results.

✨ Avoid comparisons✨
Every young person has a different journey.
Comparing their results to siblings, friends or other students can add unnecessary pressure.

✨ Give them time to process✨
They might feel proud, disappointed, relieved, overwhelmed (or all of these at once). There is no “right” way to feel.

✨ Help them see beyond today✨
If they didn’t get the results they hoped for, remind them that there are usually different routes forward. One difficult day does not mean their future is ruined.

✨ Look after the basics✨
Food, sleep, getting outside, doing something they enjoy & spending time with people who make them feel safe can make a real difference when emotions are high.
There are many places that offer free food, drinks etc to those who have had GCSE results so what better excuse have you got than to take them out or let them go out with friends to help them reconnect so they realise there’s more to life than just a grade!

Most importantly, let them know that you love & value them regardless of the letters & numbers on that piece of paper…you’ll be surprised at how many teens open up in sessions about how they feel they will let their parents down if they don’t get the grades.

If you’re a young person reading this & your results haven’t gone how you hoped, please be gentle with yourself.

If switching off feels impossible, you’re not alone. 🤍

In this week’s 60 Seconds Therapy with Laura G, I’m talking about addiction, the nervous system & that feeling of being unable to naturally unwind without reaching for something to take the edge off.

Sometimes what looks like “I just can’t relax” or ‘why do I need that substance to switch off or feel good’ is actually your body struggling to feel safe enough to slow down.

A little reminder: you’re not broken & you don’t have to figure it all out at once.

🎧 Take 60 seconds, have a listen, let me know if this resonates with you & if you have any other topic you’d like me to cover
