In this Jenny outlines her journey along the River Wharfe, gathering the energies of the river at various significant points along its length. "I felt honoured to be asked to record the podcast as part of Sara Estelle’s 'Rise, Healer, Rise' podcast series, available on YouTube. The River Wharfe has been a part of my life in Ilkley for almost 50 years, and it felt a natural calling to me to follow the path of the Wharfe, making essences at key points and offer her energies to all through a series of essences, the Verbeia River Essences.
Life faces crises, and yet we can be supported through these demanding times by the River series of essences. They support from birth of life or of projects, through uncertainties, then through easier times and eventually to breathing peacefully, looking all around us at the global waterway of life.
The essences may be used individually or as the series as we move through what may be demanding flows and undercurrents until we arrive at that clear space, breathing deeply. Then there may be more projects. New life may be starting.

Now that we're seeing the red and orange berries of firethorn in gardens and hedgerows everywhere, it seems a good time to take a look at the Bailey Firethorn Essence.

Firethorn is the essence for helping us to balance our energies, particularly for those of us with unstable energies due to problems arising from suppressed emotions.

A typical Firethorn pattern is where suppressed emotions (often caused by old conditionings) build up and stay hidden until they finally explode. After this violent release of energy has taken place, people often panic and retreat within themselves. This can lead to an alternating energy pattern of blowing hot and cold, making life very difficult for others.

Feelings of insecurity can range from isolated occurrences, for example, starting university, a new school or a new job, to a continuing feeling that will not go away. In all cases the origins are the same - the lack of personal power, of being unable to be “master of one’s own destiny”. It is the fear of the things that we cannot control that give rise to the feelings of insecurity.

The Bailey Insecurity Essence mirrors the sentiments of the Gestalt Prayer which can be paraphrased as follows: Give me the courage to change those things that need to be changed and can be changed, the ability to accept those things that cannot be changed and the wisdom to discern the one from the other.
