I’m absolutely delighted to have been nominated again for Best in Aesthetics at the Aberdeen Business Awards. Thank you to whoever put Infinity Skin forward—it means so much to know you value what I do. 💗

Winning this award in 2024 was such a proud moment, and it still has pride of place in my clinic.

This year, I’ve decided not to take part. Awards evenings and standing on stage in front of a room full of people are a little outside my comfort zone, so I’m happy to sit this one out!

Today I welcomed my lovely bride-to-be into the clinic for her pre-wedding anti-wrinkle treatment. 🤍

One of the most special parts of my job is the genuine bond I form with my patients. I felt so privileged to be the only person shown her final choice of three beautiful wedding dresses 🫶🏻🤍
I have lent her my own bolero jacket as her “something borrowed” for their special big day! 🥹 💒

I stopped being a nurse in the hospital after 17 years because time wasn’t allowing me to give care. Being an aesthetic practitioner is about so much more than providing treatments. Real friendships are formed, special moments are shared, and I’m incredibly grateful to be trusted with them.

The cobbler’s daughter is always the worst shod… 😂💉

I spend my days telling everyone else to look after their skin, while continually putting my own treatments to the bottom of the list 🙈

But TODAY I finally got round to having my Croma PolyPhil Eye polynucleotide treatment 👀✨
Polys is one of my firm favourites!!

📸 Before vs straight after — and yep… I’ve got a nice wee bruise under the eye 😂

And this is your reminder that bruising can be a completely normal part of injectable treatments.

Our faces have a fantastic blood supply with lots of tiny little blood vessels sitting under the skin. Even with careful technique, occasionally a needle catches one — and voilà… a bruise 💜

It doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong, and it doesn’t mean the treatment has worked better either — it’s simply your body’s normal response to a tiny bit of trauma from the needle.

Bruises are temporary. Good skin is the long game. ✨

And if the possibility of a wee bruise sends you into a panic… injectable aesthetics might not be your cup of tea 😂 Because unfortunately, no injector can promise you’ll never bruise.

Now we wait for those polynucleotides to get to work on skin quality, hydration and that tired-looking under-eye area 👀✨

The reason for the slightly shorter clinic week… we’re off to Scone International Horse Trials with this little beauty! 🐴✨

He’s qualified to compete, so we’re swapping the clinic for the show ring for a few days. Wish us luck! 🤞🩷

Now the summer holidays come to an end, I will be making a conscious effort to try and be more consistent on social media moving forward. 🙈 it’s like a whole other job.

Although I have been quieter online, the clinic has certainly remained very busy. 🤍

I am absolutely delighted with these results. At Infinity Skin, the aim remains the same — natural, considered treatments with results that speak for themselves. Looking your best self - not fake or “done”.

We are results driven rather than trend driven. Every treatment plan is carefully tailored to the individual, with a focus on achieving a refreshed, natural result while still looking like you.

This before & after is a perfect example… 👏🏻 I am extremely pleased with the outcome as is my lovely patient who kindly gave consent. 🥰
