After more than 5 incredible years working for myself, I've made the decision to focus primarily on my role with The Face Place Inverness. 💚

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to every single client who has supported me over the years. Whether you've visited me once or have been with me since the beginning, your loyalty, trust and recommendations have helped me build a career that I truly love.

I'm excited to now be offering advanced skin and laser treatments as part of the amazing team at The Face Place Inverness, where I'll be available 3 days per week.

This move allows me to focus on what I am most passionate about – helping clients achieve healthier, clearer and more confident skin using some of the industry's most advanced technology, whilst working alongside a highly experienced team.

To all my existing clients, thank you for supporting me throughout the last 5+ years. Your trust, loyalty and recommendations have meant everything to me, and I truly appreciate every one of you.

Hey Everyone! I hope your all keeping well?

So sorry for being so quiet on the socials... my life is pretty much, essays, assignments, revision, exams and practical assessments.

But my reason for this post is... I need your help! I have my Level 7 graded unit on Thursday 5th of March. I need a min of 6 clients to come to UHI Inverness for treatments. Ideally, I require a couple of clients with multiple treatments. e.g waxing 2 areas or eyebrow wax and tint.

As most of you will know, maybe not so much for the new followers.. I am a fully qualified beauty therapist. However, with legislations changing in the future, i wanted to get part of a degree in the industry and maybe extend on that in the future.

You will see below the menu I've created. Bare in mind this has been created for part of my assessment. It has nothing to do with my own business.

I have to pretend I am a manager and run my own salon for the day. Its only offered on the 5th March only.
Prices are very very cheap, but I wont get official prices for a few more weeks. (Gel nails usually £10 and electrical facials are £15)

Hey everyone! 👋

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet lately — I’m still here, just working away behind the scenes!

Some of you might already know that back in August, I started my Level 7 HNC in Beauty Therapy. I decided to take this step because, with new regulations coming into place, I wanted to gain a higher, industry-recognised qualification. This means I’ll be able to continue offering a full range of beauty and aesthetic treatments safely and professionally — without any future hassle.

The beauty industry is changing fast. There’s been a huge rise in online and one-day courses, which don’t always provide enough hands-on training, written work, or assessments. It’s quite concerning to think about people offering treatments like waxing or facials without the in-depth knowledge or experience that comes from years of proper training.

For example, advanced facials like electrical therapies, Hydrafacials, CO₂, and laser treatments require a solid understanding of skin, anatomy, and safety — yet so many people are offering them without even being qualified beauty therapists.

If you’re ever unsure, it’s always okay to ask your therapist about their qualifications and where they trained. You’d be surprised how many people locally aren’t properly qualified!

That’s why both the aesthetics and beauty industries are tightening up standards — something that’s been highlighted to us directly by SQA and our lecturers.

For me, it’s simple: I want to make sure all my clients receive the highest level of care, with safe, effective treatments, professional aftercare, and results you can trust. 💆‍♀️✨

I am still working, but from home.. but limited hours and days due to alot of revision, assessments and exams. Its pretty brutal right now and im counting down to my Xmas break.

Next year, I am so excited to see what happens with my business expansion and what new treatments i'll be offering.

I am currently seeking models for waxing services. As you may know, I am already a qualified practitioner in this field. However, I require models to fulfill a unit requirement for my HNC, which is essential for obtaining full course credits.

I prefer this practical approach over online courses, as it allows for a deeper understanding of depilation and anatomy, taught by someone with genuine expertise, rather than relying on a potentially less informed online resource.

Please prioritize your safety and trust your instincts when considering this opportunity.

If you are able to allow some hair growth for the following areas, I would greatly appreciate your assistance in completing my unit:

⚠️ CHANGES ⚠️

It's with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you some changes that are effective from the 1st of June, that I will be discontinuing offering anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments.

With the New NMC regulations, that mandate in-person consultations prior to administering non-surgical cosmetic medications, including anti-wrinkle injections and aesthetic emergency kits (e.g. for dermal filler treatments). Furthermore, compliance requires a HIS-registered clinic and an on-site prescriber, a significant challenge for non-medical practitioners like myself, especially up in the Highlands. Given my prescriber's limited availability for in-house clinics and the substantial costs associated with a clinic rental and HIS registration, I have made the difficult decision to cease these services.😞

While I concur with the new regulations to ensure client safety, the short notice prevents implementation before June.😪

I must adhere to the new legislation, enacted due to unqualified practitioners performing treatments in non-clinical settings, leading to botched procedures and fatalities (consider recent news reports on fatal BBL procedures and lip injections performed in vehicles). 🚩 The situation is deeply concerning, and I am pleased to hear these changes will hopefully prevent any Tom, dick or Harry carrying out these procedures in an uneducated and unethical manor!👊

My commitment to client well-being is evidenced by my consistent provision of exceptional support, including comprehensive aftercare, meticulous consultations, and collaborative treatment planning. I have ALWAYS prioritised my client needs, ensuring that all treatments are necessary and delivered in accordance with established protocols. I am confident in my ethical and professional conduct, I followed them correctly.🙌👌

I will continue to provide a comprehensive range of treatments, including skin boosters, microneedling, peels, mesotherapy, vitamin injections, SPMU, lashes, massage, facials and Hydrofacials. I will maintain my focus on natural treatment modalities, which I do personally find particularly rewarding..🫶

With the upcoming changes, you may unfortunately see some price increases for these said treatments. This was expected, given the previously lower prices that was offered by non-medical practitioners. The "medics" have always charged more, and these prices may, sadly, increase further due to the significant changes affecting non-medical practitioners. So do bare this in mind.

To conclude, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your custom, friendship, and trust over the past five years. 🙏Please respect the new regulations and conduct thorough research; this is for your own protection to protect YOU!

Currently, I am still closed due to moving home, but I will reopen for basic beauty treatments for all bookings in the system, but for treatments above, these will be refunded accordingly.
