A lovely lady said something to me recently that made me realise I should probably clarify something.
She had seen one of my recent posts about us working together during decluttering sessions and worried that she wouldnāt be physically able to keep up.
Please donāt let that put you off reaching out.
Yes, I work alongside my clients and involve them in every step of the process, because youāre the expert on your home, your belongings and what matters most to you.
However, many of my clients are living with long-term health conditions, reduced mobility, chronic pain, fatigue, recovering from illness or surgery, or simply arenāt as physically fit as they once were.
Iāve supported clients from an armchair, from a sofa and even from their bed.
Iāve taken boxes, drawers and items to them, taken photos while organising, and checked in regularly to make sure everything was going where they wanted it and made sense to them.
Some clients are able to do more physically, some do less. Thatās absolutely fine.
I regularly find myself on my hands and knees, climbing step ladders, moving bags, lifting boxes and tackling the more physical jobs.
Whatās important is that youāre involved in the decisions, not that youāre doing all the heavy lifting.
Every person is different. Every home is different. My role is to adapt the support to you and your circumstances. š§”
