A lovely lady said something to me recently that made me realise I should probably clarify something.

She had seen one of my recent posts about us working together during decluttering sessions and worried that she wouldn’t be physically able to keep up.

Please don’t let that put you off reaching out.

Yes, I work alongside my clients and involve them in every step of the process, because you’re the expert on your home, your belongings and what matters most to you.

However, many of my clients are living with long-term health conditions, reduced mobility, chronic pain, fatigue, recovering from illness or surgery, or simply aren’t as physically fit as they once were.

I’ve supported clients from an armchair, from a sofa and even from their bed.

I’ve taken boxes, drawers and items to them, taken photos while organising, and checked in regularly to make sure everything was going where they wanted it and made sense to them.

Some clients are able to do more physically, some do less. That’s absolutely fine.

I regularly find myself on my hands and knees, climbing step ladders, moving bags, lifting boxes and tackling the more physical jobs.

What’s important is that you’re involved in the decisions, not that you’re doing all the heavy lifting.

Every person is different. Every home is different. My role is to adapt the support to you and your circumstances. 🧔

A lovely lassie messaged me last week after saving one of my posts… five months ago. 🧔

Sometimes people contact me straight away.
Sometimes it takes weeks, months, or even longer before the time feels right.

Decluttering can feel incredibly emotional and overwhelming, so please know there’s absolutely no pressure or urgency from me.

If you’ve been quietly following along for a while, you’re not alone. A lot of people do exactly the same before reaching out for support. 🧔

What a wonderful morning in Boat of Garten delivering my annual Laughter Yoga session for the Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland group. 🧔

There were lots of new faces in the room today who had never heard of Laughter Yoga before, let alone given it a try. By the end of the session, the room was filled with smiles, laughter and connection. Pure joy.

Many people know me these days through my decluttering and organising work, which has grown hugely over the last year (and I’m incredibly grateful for that), but Laughter Yoga remains my greatest passion.

I’ve been sharing the benefits of laughter for wellbeing for over 10 years and have had the privilege of working with community groups, charities, workplaces, conferences and festivals across the Highlands and beyond.

Laughter really is one of the simplest tools we have to support our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

If you’re looking for something a little different for your group, workplace, charity, conference or event, I’d love to chat.

šŸ“© Drop me a message to find out more about my Laughter Yoga and Laughter Wellness sessions.

One of the biggest misconceptions about decluttering and organising is that I simply come in and ā€œdo it all for youā€.

In reality, I work alongside my clients every step of the way. 🧔

We sort through things together at a pace that feels manageable. I help clients make decisions, take back control of their homes, and create systems that genuinely work for them and their lifestyle — so that things feel easier to maintain long after I’ve gone.

Sometimes my role is practical.
Sometimes emotional support is needed too.
Very often, it’s both.

This message meant a lot to receive because this work is about so much more than ā€œtidyingā€. It’s about helping people feel calmer, lighter and more able to cope again in their own space.

Real, lasting change happens when people feel supported — not judged, rushed or overwhelmed. 🧔

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately… life and business have been very full in the best possible way. 🧔

Over the last few weeks I’ve been supporting clients in:

šŸ“Fortrose
šŸ“Inverness
šŸ“Ardersier
šŸ“Nairn

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to trust me and welcome me into your homes. I never take it for granted. 🧔

This may be controversial but… do you really need a dressing table? 🤯

One of my lovely clients sent me a photo of a gorgeous dressing table recently and asked, ā€œDo you think this will become a clutter magnet?ā€

My answer? YES. šŸ™ˆ

Hear me out…

✨ If you're someone who wears minimal makeup (like me), then what purpose is it really serving?

✨ Dressing tables take up space — precious space. And unless your bedroom is huge, they can make it feel crowded fast.

✨ Natural light is key for makeup — and yet it’s often tricky to place a dressing table where the light actually hits your face properly.

✨ And the biggest culprit? CLUTTER. Even with the best intentions, these beautiful surfaces can quickly become a dumping ground: a random hairbrush here, yesterday’s necklace there, that one receipt you meant to file… and suddenly, it’s a dust-collecting mess.

Drawers? Amazing if they’re organised. A nightmare if they’re not.

The best bit? My client paused before buying and asked for my input. That’s the kind of ongoing support I give — because the goal isn’t just to make your home look lovely for five minutes. It’s to create a space that works for your life.

Space is a good thing.
We don’t always need to fill it.

šŸ’¬ I'd love to know — do you have a dressing table? Love it or regret it?

Well… this week definitely didn’t go to plan šŸ˜…

Recovering from a back injury has forced me to slow right down this week — something I’m not naturally very good at. It’s been a funny mix of enforced rest, frustration, boredom… and then little bursts of joyful productivity in between.

I’ve had to reschedule some lovely clients which I hate doing, but everyone has been incredibly kind and understanding while I recover. I’m very lucky to work with such amazing folk. 🧔

I’ve also had two fantastic consultation calls this week which have resulted in two new clients booking in, so despite the slower pace, there have still been some really positive moments too.

One message from a client this week really made me smile:

ā€œThank you so very much Natalie. It was so lovely to have help and company. Be in touch soon. Take care. No lifting!! Xxā€

Hopefully another few days of taking it easy, heat pads and listening to my body and I’ll be fully back on form soon šŸ¤žšŸ§”

A wee update from me as it’s been very quiet on here lately… 🧔

The last couple of weeks have felt like a lot.

I was away at Heal Scotland’s Wild Medicine Festival in Tarbert at the end of April, which was such an incredible weekend, then came home straight back into a very full diary with decluttering sessions, consultations, travel and life admin.

Not long after that, I was completely floored by a horrible cold. Because many of my clients are vulnerable, I made the decision to reschedule a few sessions rather than risk passing anything on. I did manage to get back to work for a bit in between, but then I went and injured my back too. šŸ™ˆ

To top it all off, we had to cancel my birthday weekend away, which I was honestly so gutted about. I’d really been looking forward to it.

Thankfully I’m starting to feel much more like myself again and I’ll be back to work tomorrow seeing my lovely clients. 🧔

Working in people’s homes every day reminds me that life can change very quickly. So many people I support are juggling illness, caring responsibilities, grief, burnout, busy jobs, family life or simply trying to keep their head above water. Sometimes we all need to slow down for a while and just focus on getting through the basics.

Thank you for all the kindness, patience and understanding lately. It really does mean a lot. 🧔

I’ve just taken a moment to reflect on this month… and honestly, it feels a bit magical ✨

This month I’ve supported 10 different clients across:
šŸ“ Inverness
šŸ“ Nairn
šŸ“ Ardersier
šŸ“ Fortrose
šŸ“ Rosemarkie
šŸ“ Dingwall
šŸ“ Evanton
šŸ“ Invergordon
šŸ“ Tain

Every home is different. Every situation is different.

Some clients I see weekly, some fortnightly, some monthly, and some just need a few sessions to get things moving again.

But every single one has made progress — whether that’s clearing space, getting organised, or just getting started.

April is now fully booked, and the first few weeks of May are already starting to fill.

If you’ve been thinking about getting support, feel free to get in touch and we can arrange a wee call to chat about what you need. 🧔
