VACANCY: PRACTICE LEAD

Position Summary: Support Unlimited UK Ltd is looking for an experienced and suitably qualified care professional to take on the role of practice lead, providing leadership and support to our team of support workers. Support Unlimited is an Ipswich-based organisation dedicated to providing specialist support services for individuals with learning disabilities, autistic persons, and people with various mental health conditions. The practice lead post will be based in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Team Leadership:
Taking the lead in the development and maintenance of good staff and high staff performance, through:
Helping staff develop and maintain person-centred and evidence-based care planning and delivery
Coaching staff to deliver better support and to implement positive behaviour management strategies effectively.
Establishing and communicating expectations of performance and developing competence of staff.
Reviewing the quality of support provided by individual staff in regular one-to-one supervision and finding ways to help staff improve it.
2. Care Planning and Delivery – Contributing to the development of PBS plans, undertaking on-call duties and compiling regular staff performance update reports.
3. Assisting with staffing processes, including staff recruitment and rotaring processes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
1. The applicant must hold a relevant qualification in adult social care or be able to demonstrate that they are in the process of acquiring such a qualification.
2. Must have at least one year demonstrable experience in adult social care working with persons with learning disabilities and those who are autistic.
3. Demonstrable experience in a leadership role.
Salary Range: £33 696 - £36 192 per annum
