⭐️⭐️Meet one of our newest target members! Absolutely awesome ⭐️⭐️
🎉 There's been a small wave of people reaching target in group recently, and I've found myself among them. It's taken me a little time to gather my thoughts, sort through photos, but it feels right to mark the moment.
Reaching target took 69 weeks. It wasn't dramatic or fast - just steady effort, week after week. I'm now 6 stone 2 pounds lighter, averaging around 1.25 pounds a week. I didn't keep track of every measurement, but I do know I'm five UK dress sizes smaller than when I joined SW in January 2025. I haven't been this size since sixth form, which has been something to sit with and take in. One of my aims was to reach the 'healthy' BMI category, and l've done that. Another was to bring my waist measurement to half my height or less, and I've reached that too. Those small markers have meant more to me than I expected.
If I can get to my target, you can get to yours. (I’m not super active and I’ve got more than my fair share of ailments that have prevented exercise.) The SW plan works when you keep showing up for yourself. Some weeks feel easier than others, but the consistency adds up.
I'm now 11 days into target. I maintained during my first week, and I'm hopeful I'll continue to find my footing. This stage feels different - another adjustment, another chance to learn what works for me. The support, shared experience, and steady encouragement in group each week makes a real difference, and I'm grateful for it.
