Share your thoughts on connection? How important is it for you? Connection with God, with friends, with family, with your neighbours, with the people on the streets, at the supermarket, even at work (I know boring at times 😅but still). Do you take time to look into people s eyes? Do you see yourself in others? Could you imagine yourself living completely on your own without all that - working from home all week without seeing a soul, and seeing no one on the weekend? Receiving and giving kindness, receiving and giving love. Or do you tend to see the grumpy faces, the anger, the drama, the negativity in people? What s your experience and thoughts on human connection? Are we more connected than we think we are? Much love.

Some moments don't ask for more effort.

They ask for less.

Less rushing.
Less noise.
Less pressure to keep up.

When we slow down, we notice what was there all along: the breath, the body, the present moment.

Go a little slower.
Breathe a little deeper.

Your wellbeing doesn't live in the next thing on your to-do list. It lives here.

Impromptu drumming with interruptions.

Video trimmed by instagram so drumming feels a little off. At least you dont get bored to death with the original 4min video 😅

Sometimes you just need to stop for a bit. Put the phone down. Step away from the noise. Take a breath. Move your body. Do nothing for a few minutes. Then come back.

It’s amazing what a little reset can do. 🤍

Some people come into our lives quietly.

They don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room.
They don’t seek attention.
They simply live in a way that leaves the world a little gentler than they found it.

Yesterday, I said goodbye to someone who reminded me of that.

Lisa was one of those people.

She loved yoga. She loved kirtan. She found joy in nature and never missed the chance to hug a tree. She had a calm presence that made people feel at ease, and a kindness that asked for nothing in return.

I was fortunate to spend time with her during the final weeks of her life, visiting her at home and in hospital, where I had the privilege of singing mantras with her. Those moments will stay with me.

At her funeral, surrounded by so many people whose lives she had touched, I realised something.

A meaningful life isn’t measured by how loudly we’re seen, but by how deeply we’re felt.

Thank you, Lisa, for reminding me to slow down, stay connected, keep singing and keep noticing the beauty that’s already here.

May I remember those lessons long after today.

It’s so easy to become caught up in everything that needs to be done and everyone who needs something from you.

But you matter too.

Taking time to pause is not selfish and rest is not something you need to earn. Sometimes we need to step away from all the doing, take a breath and simply be.

When was the last time you made some space just for yourself?

——-

And by the way, if you’re local to me and feel you might be in need of that time, Unwind is happening this Friday at 7:30 pm. Few spaces available.

Gentle Yin, guided relaxation and a soothing sound bath.
